The media is a pack of jackals, but they are also the convenient patsy when things do not go well. Moose does not have to hold press conferences when he has nothing to say (which is most of the time).
We have a free press, for better or for worse, and those who suggest a "media blackout" -- and I've heard it more from ex-cops than anyone else -- are playing with one of our basic freedoms: our right to know what the facts are, and make our own judgements on how best to protect ourselves -- whether that means business as usual, or hiding under the bed.
But why have a live pres. coff just to say "Our next conf. will be mon."
And why are we finding out NOW about the shell caseing I thought they wouldn't have that info UNTIL mon.?
