Just reported. Took place outside of a Ponderosa Steakhouse. Not sure if it is related or not at this time. Police have shut down parts of I-95.

Whooo! I just turned on the news (watching movie) What the he!! is going on? They shut down a highway.

I felt like this was going to happen again, when I was watching that dumbass Chief MOOSE at noon today saying "We won't have a press conference until MONDAY.

I think the sniper was watching it and thought "Oh really?! not going to cover me on SUN., How about now........"

Unless you see someone SHOOT out of the van, or someone with a rifle climb into the van you haven't the foggiest idea whether the guy in the van is aware there was a shooting at all. Could have Van Halen blasting at max decibels inside.

And I see people in the routine of daily life peeling out, driving fast, etc. all the time.

If I saw someone SHOOT out of a van, I'd like to think I'd ram it. I've never been in a remotely similar situation so I honestly can't guarantee I would. I suspect a lot of the armchair heroes on FR speculating what they would do on this board wouldn't end up doing what they say they would when the chips are down.

Supposed to be 51,000 white vans in DC area. You could look around anywhere and see one. The first report at the first "shootin'" could very well have been incorrect, but now everybody's looking for one.

If I remember correctly, to get to Patrick Henry's homeplace, one must take the Ashland exit off I-95.

There were five unrelated drive by shootings in Williamsburg this Sept. I don't know if all assailants were caught. Now, given the proximity to Richmond, I wonder if some of these were "practice" shots, much like the now-questionned liquor store employee shooting in MD.
