Just reported. Took place outside of a Ponderosa Steakhouse. Not sure if it is related or not at this time. Police have shut down parts of I-95.

I appreciate your kind words and those of the others who replied. The odds are remote and I'm sure his wife would have called by now if it was him. But as I said, even the slightest bit of doubt has given me a different perspective on these events. I can imagine what must flash through people's minds when their spouse goes out for groceries or they are standing there pumping gas. They are telling themselves not be paranoid and foolish, but in the back of their mind there is a little gnawing feeling.

Interesting picture, considering that CNN is reporting that NO witnesses at the scene reported a white van, but that 5 minutes after the story broke on the news police began getting calls about white vans being spotted.

Well ... there haven't been any shootings at beer joints, bowling allys or shooting galleries - mostly shopping centers and gas stations.

You've got it! 37 year old man shot either in head or stomach(don't have confirmation yet) was taken to surgery(seems to be going to make it). That's about it as of now.

REALLY GREAT idea for a website! I've bookmarked it for news use later. Being a webcam addict I'm especially taken with the cam links along 95. Too bad they aren't as far south as Ashland.
