reasonable Ah, the operative word!!
What might have seemed unreasonable 15 months ago might not seem so unreasonable today, and what might be considered unreasonable now, might seem eminently reasonable in two months...especially if we don't come down on every attacker of Americans like a Texas tornado.

I was responding to the "cop-hater" bit. Which was directed at a statement you now want to avoid.
Figures.

I just cannot believe they have NO clue so far; I'm grasping maybe about the terrorist, but it's the only thing that makes sense to me!

Rumor has it that the MSP/ATF are asking some Maryland .223 owners to "voluntarily" submit their weapons for ballistics testing. Any advice in case they ask me? Should I stand up and require a warrant, or bend over? That's not standing up, that's being a jerk.

That's what we're trying to ascertain. We think we *know* you, that's for sure.

Yeah. But, case in point: Where is OBL? I want to believe he's dead, but, heck, anyone that thinks the 'real' Saddam Insane is still in Iraq is just plain high. These people are cowards, through and through. The sniper? They've changed their m.o. They aren't going to engage in activities on our soil that allow them to get caught and thus get the attention squarely on themselves - until they've inflicted max. damage to our freedom and psyches. I don't know, I believe we are going to see suspension of many freedoms before an effective 'war on terror' solution actually is implemented; comprehensively. We've been had by our own pc, politically motivated bs.

Most Islam-fascists don't look like me, or 80 year old white grandmothers... Gosh, I hope not...if they did, we'd be in a real world of hurt.
This is not a war against the American government...This is a war against the American people...
I would say it's both, in this case.
When the gov views me as suspicious but shies away from the Islamos, heck yes, I'm concerned about my rights...
If that were the case, that would be stupid...but I'm not sure that that is the case.
I guess I'm not to the point where I consider law enforcement to be the enemy. I think we're in this together as Americans.

How are you not allowed to "defend" yourself?Conceivably if you own a rifle chambered in .223 you are now a suspect and as such should enjoy a visit from the ATF, as many here have, and should you have a visit you should provide your firearms for ballistic testing.
If the rifle is gone for "testing" you would be unarmed. Hence the lack of options for defending yourself.
You get the picuture.
The ATF has been pulling 4473's at gunstores and ranges as well as sign in logs. If you haven't noticed they are pulling a fast one.
No hyperbole. No rhetoric.

This guy is good. He is avoiding the Army recon aircraft sent aloft after the last attack by shooting outside their coverage area (these planes use new audio-direction finding to locate gunshots, among other treats). Yea, I don't think this is some simple nutcase. It was the Army recon aircraft that delayed him.

You are totally clueless! Instead of B-movie westerns lets talk about history of the "old west". During that time Wyatt Earp tamed 3 of the wildest towns of the era, Tombstone, Dodge City and Wichita. In all 3 his first action was to "repeal the right to carry" of populace. He could have cared less about the 2nd amendment. That was the pattern of every local sheriff, marshal or constable of the time. So before you call someone clueless you may want to buy one for yourself.

What does YOUR comment...
911 is a clean up call. You'd better learn that if you wish to protect anything/anyone.
...have to do with my post that you responded to?
Nice.....really nice. And who would you call if your home was burglarized? Or your daughter raped? Or your car was stolen? Cop bashers usually sing a different tune when THEY need a LEO.
You seem to have trouble responding in a coherent, logical manner. Or is just letting whatever pops into your mind flow out your fingertips...your standard M.O.? If so.....you need some remedial education in order to address this deficiency.

It's not a rumor. FFL's are busier with the ATF here now than at any time in history...

By all means, request a warrant. You have rights, you know. Despite the ignorant and galactically stupid who'd rather you just throw yourself prostate on the floor and beg for abuse. Of course, they'd never ask for a warrant, for anything....ever.
Right!
The idiots.

I said nothing about protection. If you will re-read my post, all instances were for apprehension after a crime had been committed.

During that time Wyatt Earp tamed 3 of the wildest towns of the era, Tombstone, Dodge City and Wichita. In all 3 his first action was to "repeal the right to carry" of populace. And he, like the other sheriffs and marshalls of the time, had the legal right to.
"To suppose arms in the hands of citizens, to be used at individual discretion, except in private self-defense, or by partial orders of towns, countries or districts of a state, is to demolish every constitution, and lay the laws prostrate, so that liberty can be enjoyed by no man; it is a dissolution of the government. The fundamental law of the militia is, that it be created, directed and commanded by the laws, and ever for the support of the laws." -- John Adams
