Just reported. Took place outside of a Ponderosa Steakhouse. Not sure if it is related or not at this time. Police have shut down parts of I-95.

The killer seems to be demonstrating blood-chilling discipline and caution. I tend to believe he is not a home-grown psychotic--but a Muslim zealot with a rifle.

To all who believe this is a 'police state action', I humble ask: WHAT WOULD YOU DO? And I'm not talking about bigger issues such as immigration

That's a fair question.

For starters, how about having the state and federal prosecutors announce that they will no longer prosecute cases involving CCW or other gun laws (unless other serious criminal acts are involved)? This act alone would reduce what some would call "black helicopter paranoia". It would also mean more armed citizens who could stop the murderers.

Private citizens could also be encouraged, by the gov't, to pursue the goblins, or even shoot at them (if circumstances warranted) without fear of prosecution.

Local sheriff offices could ask for volunteers to patrol areas on foot and in vehicles. This would add more "eyes and ears" to the search.

While there is clearly no "magic solution" to this immediate problem, there are things than can be done to decrease the concerns about losing our Rights, and increase the probability of catching/stopping the murderers

But they don't have a suspect vehicle. The white van has been ruled out by officials. So, without a suspect vehicle, then what?

Then why are they searching? Do they intend to stop and search every vehicle between SC and MD? What's next? Close down every highway in America? Conduct random door-to-door searches? You do see how ridiculous this could become?

They've taken over my local bank, the government center, the DMV, the stores. And they multiply like cockroaches.

No kidding...has anyone considered the FACT that the Muslims may have already set up a network of "safe houses" that these snipers could be disappearing into. Look at all the hotels and small businesses they own in that area? These snipers may not even be on the road...they could be at a 'Muslim-friendly' Super 8, or even hiding out in a 'Muslim-friendly' home, a la the underground railroad. You have to admit...it is pretty unusual that these guys can disappear so quickly.

They just had a hospital spokesperson on FOX, saying that the man was clearly very seriously injured if he has been in surgery for three hours and still isn't finished.

That sounds more like a .223. Even a flesh wound can kill by shock. Some earlire posts said there was a suspicion it could be a less powerful weapon.

My Lord. Before, this seemed so foreign to me with regards to the area. These places that you mention are places that we travel and frequent every year when going to Maryland for the Budd's Creek Motocross Nationals on Father's day. The people in this area are so friendly as we have become familiar to many of them and them to us. My prayers to the victim(s) and for those living in this area.

So far, since I abide by the Constitution and the laws, I'm NOT in danger of having to worry about what the police might find in my house or my car.

Does anyone realize how many white vans there are? I drive a White Dodge Caravan and so does my daughter in law. It can be quite a challenge, just trying to find your own car in a parking lot with all the other white vans parked there that look just like it.

Could be that is why the shooter (s) chose a white van? Ya think?

Funny story. At IKEA this week, four ladies were stopped by security guards when their cart beeped on the way to the parking lot. Security guards were all over them. One of them said, 'this is racial profiling.' I chuckled because I didn't think that beeps could see colors.

I think it's raining in the area, at least intermittently. That would complicate matters a bunch as far as finding powder residue.
