35th Congressional District Candidate Ross Moen discusses Rep. Maxine Waters on Larry Elders KABC Talk Show on Tuesday, October 8th
KABC Studios, Los Angeles- Conservative talk show host Larry Elder invited the two candidates seeking Californias 35th Congressional seat to a debate at the KABC studios on Tuesday evening, October 8th, in a broadcast sent coast-to-coast.
Republican candidate Ross Moen showed up to discuss the issues that affect the residents of the 35th district.
Democratic incumbent Congresswoman Maxine Waters did not.
Candidate Moen took to the airwaves with an informative, hour-long discussion with program host Larry Elder, where the two derided Rep. Waters controversial 12-year record in the House of Representatives. Moen and Elder found plenty of common ground in their criticisms of Congresswoman Waters, with host Elder, a longtime critic of Waters, dishing out the bulk of the barbs, while Candidate Ross Moen, a 39-year veteran of the LAPD, focused on his plans for fighting crime and improving education in the 35th district.
After announcing the Ross Moen Campaigns website address (www.electrossmoen.com) and phone number (310) 342-ROSS on the air, office staff were almost overwhelmed with calls and e-mails, showing support for Ross Moen.
The event was such a success that Mr. Elder has invited Mr. Moen back for three additional 15-minute interviews before the election, to bring about more public awareness of the candidates and the issues involved in Californias 35th Congressional District.
Will Congresswoman Maxine Waters show up to debate Ross Moen?
When Waters campaign officials were contacted at (323) 757-8900, they refused to answer.

Getting rid of Waters has been a secret hope of mine for a long time, and I'm not even in her district. Let's hope it works this time, with Elders help it just might!

Anyone have any Poll numbers in this race. I know Waters got redistricted into what I heard was a mainly hispanic district. So any info on Poll number sor where to get them would be helpfull

Now why is it that democrats don't want to debate Republicans? She can join Gray "will cluck for your buck" Davis. Kalifornia is turning into a big chicken coop...
Btw...I think Larry Elder is great!

Thanks for posting that. A year ago I posted Larry's letter to Maxine from his site.

To my utter disgust, the Marxists in Sacramento drew a redistricting plan that vastly expanded the old 35th from its central City of L.A. roots to other communities to the west, southwest, south, and southeast of the city. The point was to protect Maxine from the growth of Hispanic voters in the old boundaries of the 35th. As Hispanics have moved into the central part of the city, blacks have moved further into cities like Culver City, Inglewood, Hawthorne, Lawndald, Gardena, etc. The new district protects Maxine from a serious Hispanic challenger for awhile. Unfortunately, they came so far south with the new district in order to avoid the legal challenges that would come by making it a 100% Dem district, that I now live on the southern-most edge of the 35th, instead of the 36th. The newly reconfigured 35th is absolutely hopless for anyone other than hard Leftists, and likely will be for at least a generation, if not longer.

LibertyThug: In answer to your question, see my post #9.
kcvl: The registration in this newly reconfigured 35th is something like 3-1 Dem. I've seen estimates as high as 9-1, although I believe that was earlier in the redistricting process. The Sacramento Marxists supposedly backed off on that extreme plan. Still, Waters' re-election is a virtual certainty.

Maxine Waters is almost certainly going to be reelected, but that's okay. She provides a great example to many fence-sitters coast-to-coast of the excesses of the left. The left always needs to have a straw-man on the right to attack. They crucified Newt Gringrich, and his politics are far closer to the average American's than the Marxist madness of Maxine.

Tell me again how Russert justified not allowing Forrester to appear on Meet The Press because Lousenberg refused to appear.

Hey, Maxine has been delivering the welfare and excuses for a long time. Actually, I would not mind this as long as Maxine's constituents got to PAY for all the handouts. Fat Chance, that is why Maxine WILL be re-elected.

The question you need to be asking is "What impact will this have IN HER DISTRICT?" It doesn't do any good to preach to the choir; we already despise Maxine Waters. And why not? To know her is to hate her.
