The card and the school. Seems logical...i.e., it was perhaps a little more protected and/or where it was left was the "ONLY" site the shot could have come from and would lead them right to it.

They must have found it "early" as there was correspondence back and forth between the news and cops about releasing it. (The cops didn't get back quick enough apparently while they were deciding about it and the card info got out).

This was not good that the card info got out.....I also wonder why the sniper didn't want it released, what his intentions were (besides the obvious, of he being the only one to know about the card).

As far as shell casings, etc., antivenom, I know there are certain kinds of bullets that are in protective plastic sheaths (I forget what they're called), when trajected out of the gun, there will be no markings on the sides of the shell casings, just on the plastic which, when fired, removes itself from the bullet. The plastic sheath could have been picked up by the sniper.
