I agree, it probably is a match. But I'm not sure the shooter left.

We've speculated a lot on that in this thread. Alberta's Child is of the opinion that the sniper(s) have already been caught and are now enjoying the hospitality of Guantanamo.

Others think the team may simply have moved on and are waiting to regroup elsewhere and strike again.

(There are also many people who think it's a lone psychotic white wacko with a video game obsession.)

Personally, for the little it's worth, I think they've moved on, and not necessarily returned to any foreign country. If I were LE, I'd check out all auto rental places around airports in major cities.

Rented vehicles seem to be a hallmark of these guys (look at OKC and the first WTC bombing) and they appear to have a number of sympathizers working in airports. I'd say this group had at least one member with an airport connection - either an airport employee, or somebody who worked for an airport delivery or taxi service - but that now they have moved on to another contact in another city.

Unless, of course, they're enjoying the Cuban breezes at Gitmo (the best scenario).

I wish they were in Gitmo. But the public fear necessitates telling the public all clear if that was the case. Too much economic damage and the fraying of the social fabric to keep it hidden.

IMO, all these shootings were "target practise" for a bigger event and the shooter/s have now gone to their real assignment. Examine the event calendar for major events over the next couple of weeks, i.e. World Series, election, etc.
