Salamat jalan, tingle and pagi. Makan aning. Nasi goring and chop chi. The land of mystical spirits has erupted. Good bye Indonesia.

They waited until today to warn people to get out? Did the British government think last Saturday's bombing was a teenage prank? I'm sure native people of Bali are considering leaving the country if they have the means to do so.

There goes tourism in Bali and Indonesia. My husband works for a major oil company. Over the years we have known many people who have worked for US oil companies in Indonesia. A good friend is over there on an off shore rig right now.
Most people may be thinking this will disrupt tourism, but I think it will further disrupt oil production.

The majority of the British Labour government is in denial big time. Lots of in-fighting in the Cabinet. Most all want to abdicate to the UN. With respect to bailing out of Bali, apparently the Labour guys are following the Australians lead. The Aussies are truly pissed off. The ones living here in London are ready to take up arms.

Bali is non-muslim, the majority of the island practice their own version of Hindu. I would think muslim terrorists would have no problem with the people of Bali being collateral damage in any attacks.

The natives of Bali are 90% Hindu.

Sorry....Thanks for the correction. I was under the impression that they were Muslims. I take back what I said.

What upsets me the most is that NOTHING is being done to wipe out the terrorists and make Bali safe for tourists and the local people to live there! I want to see the B******S blow to bits.

Bali is predominantly Hindu. The jihadists wish to destroy them too.

Be nice when their President realizes she DOES indeed have a problem with terrorism in her Country.

"What about the Freeport mines!" The Freeport mines are in a remote area of Irian Jaya, the western half of New Guinea, and the Javanese shouldn't be there to begin with. The Irian Jayans are melanasians, and primarily animists, and/or Christian (very heavy missionary presence in the back country). In my time in Jayapura, I don't even recall hearing or seeing Mosques, though I assume they are there.

Funny I think BAli is about 90% Hindu. Do you think they are safe?

Why did I immediately picture Monty Python's Holy Grail with the knights yelling "run away! run away!"?

Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll hold on to the stock a while longer!
