I've had my doubts about terrorism because the shootings seem to point to someone who wants fame. Interesting take. Makes sense. Well, killer, go out there NOW and try again! With all the surveillance that is up, if your theory is right, he will be able to get his jollies getting caught and maybe even put out of his misery.

That's what I was thinking. They may have been upset to hear all the media cover them as lone white gun nuts. How upsetting would that be to your average ME terrorist?! LOL.

One more home-grown-nutjob theory thought: Why did the govt. release the fact that they are going to Club Med-Guantanamo to interview Al Quaeda? They didn't have to. If this is the "type" that you are suspecting, wouldn't it really tick him off to think that Al Quaeda were getting "credit and fame" for "his accomplishments?" Might force him to show himself.

Still, in matters of self defense, it would be about like taking a knife to a gunfight. Banks hand out exploding dye markers along with money during robberies. Paintball cannons could be installed at convenience stores. I could see a perp leaving with a few hundred splats.

Im a news and political junkie...I keep Fox on all day....I work several days a week for a retired doctor and his wife(RATS)....she keeps the Game Channel on all day...she watches 20 and 30 yo game shows....drives me nuts!...I don't know what's happening in the world until I get to my car and turn on the radio....talk about ignorance is bliss!!!

Given some of the reports from LI, Ny and from some other areas it may be that the attacks have already expanded. We shall see. It is an interesting question. "How do we differentiate between the normal crime and terrorist crime?"

news conference....cream colored van and description of weapon, not credible.....
To: mystery-ak
OK...Fairfax County says that the info on the cram colored van with a malfunctioning taillight is "not credible" and also the information about the specific gun type is "not credible."
Sounds like there was a bad witness or two in the mix.
To: Miss Marple
Also description of the suspect "Not Credible" too.
Here comes a FR ragefest, methinks.
To: Miss Marple
Ponting out that there are a lot of rifles that chamber this round, and they can't go on what someone "thinks."
To: hispanarepublicana
Could be the police's way to get someone under survailence to act on those reports so they can make an arrest.

Probably. However, since all the info we are getting is coming through those KNOWN LIARS, the media, I am not going to get too upset at the police.

IOW's....*we have nothing*
To: Miss Marple
Van - not credible
Weapon - not reliable
That's what I heard. Is there a difference or do they mean the same thing?

I heard on IMUS this morning that the Palestines(sp) used an IRA sniper early this year to kill 10 Israelis..... so I started researching..
It seems the IRA has used a sniper team in the past in the same way we are seeing in the DC area today....LINK HERE!
The unit was known to operate from a "mobile platform"an-improvised armoured saloon car with a gun mount in the back -which made it almost undetectable.
After the attacks, which resulted in 11 deaths (including one in Fermanagh), in only 14 or 15 operations, the sniper was driven away leaving no shells or forensic contamination.
Someone seems to be using the same tactic today in the DC area..

Or, they have something and want the killer to think they have nothing.
This is no different than the 101 leaks from anonymous sources in the disinformation campaign against Iraq.

no 'rage' anywhere in here that i've seen since this whole atrocity began,
other than wanting the bastard(s) caught and dealt with slowly and exceedingly painfully.
something else is lacking as well.
several posters have asked you, repeatedly, based on your past postings,
whether you do or do not believe that AQ/MEs were behind 9-11.
you've yet to answer same, at least that i'm aware of ...
