FIRE! Press Release Issued.
EBUCK, FIRE! ^ | 10/16/2002 | EBUCK

Posted on 10/16/2002 5:12:57 PM PDT by EBUCK

****Press Release****

Fighting Irresponsible Radical Environmentalism (FIRE!) has installed a new billboard 1/2 mile north of exit 35, I-5, visible from the Northbound lanes, between Central Point and Gold Hill.

It reads:

Thank You EnvironMENTALists for Making the 2002 Fire Season All It Could Be! ****Image Attached****

Eric Buckner and numerous members of the popular conservative Internet forum, FreeRepublic.com, funded the billboard. Their purpose was to express outrage at the severity of recent Oregon wildfires due to the irresponsible and ignorant behavior of environmental activists.

Buckner explains, "It's time we brought the burden of accountability to environmentalists and their parent groups for the failure of their policies. Environmentalists, and the apologist politicians they control, bear full responsibility for the severity of the West's wildfire situation. Anytime someone is not held accountable for the results of their actions, disaster is the result."

The group believes that fire may be a part of the natural order, but not after 80 years of fire suppression, and NOT in the presence of noxious weeds. Environmentalists, in their hatred of the timber industry, have destroyed the capability to prevent such disasters.

“Tens of thousands are out of work, millions of acres are scorched and who's to blame? Environmentalists and their insane "hands-off" policies. The West has been building up to this for decades. All this time, environmentalists have barred every attempt to avert disaster. They were warned and they didn’t believe it. They appealed every ruling that went against them. They protested every battle they lost until they got their way. Well, they got their way and look where it got us. Look at the 'former' Kalmiopsis Wilderness (otherwise known as the Biscuit Fire). Look at the death and suffering of wildlife. It was totally unnecessary.”

“We have hundreds of thousands of acres, denuded as effectively as any clear-cut. After the fire, weeds are the first to recover, and spread with minimal competition from native plants. Come winter, rivers and streams will be choked with eroded mud. If it burns again in a few years, the damage may be irreversible.

“The real irony is that in their insane and misguided attempts to protect the forests, waterways, and fauna, environmentalists have sealed the fate of those very same forests, waterways, and fauna by disallowing human intervention. This isn’t about whether we care about nature. This is about who is going to fix it, how will it be paid for, how to verify and assure accountability that the job will be done right.

“We believe that private industry can do that job better than politicians, lawyers, and urban activists without a clue. Private Property rights, recreational/commercial land usage and water rights are a big issue with us. We plan to continue on the same path in the future. Perhaps doing similar things in states like Arizona, New Mexico, California and South Dakota.”

Watch out they'll probably burn the sign.

The proabortionists destroyed a prolife sign here.

Great sign. Unfortunately, the first question I have is: How long will it be before some of those eco-freaks deface that sign? Sorry for being a pessimist, but that is the liberal MO these days.

Thanks, my friend.

Between your program, the Sawgrass Rebellion and F.I.R.E., for the first time the Watermelon Enviralists are being held responsible by the citizens of America.

Actually, instead of us having scars up and down our a$$es in both actions, we are placing some heavy scars up and down the the Watermelon A$$es. This is the first time that this has happened. Hopefully other freepers will not only join us, but they will start some action in their area to publicly kick some scars into their local watermelon A$$es!

Keep us posted on your war with these enemies of America and most American citizens!

Jeff, you and your brave friends stopped the rural cleansing of the farmers and ranchers in the Klamath Basin last year.

That was the first defeat of the Watermelon Green Jihadists in America. That victory still stands and will continue to stand until the Watermelons elect someone like the Goron as president.

AAABest and his friends have the incredible Sawgrass Rebellion going on. This has to be like an hourly kick in the Watermelon A$$es with a spiked logging boot. They are not used to being portrayed as the evil ones in America.

A friend, who saw the F.I.R.E. billboard in Medford, said that it has to be like huge salmon bone in the throats of every enviral whacko in Oregon who sees that great bulletin board. It is there causing them great pain each day. They can't get the bone out of their throat as 50,000 vehicles go by and see that billboard blaming the Watermelons for that fire.

Hopefully, other Freepers will start something similiar to this Bill Board or the Sawgrass rebellion in their areas to bring out the truth of the evil ones in America, the Watermelon Jihadists.

Real conservatives don't wait for the president, congress or their governors to do something. We do it ourselves and do it legally! You were a leader last year in stopping the Rural Cleansing of the Klamath Basin ranchers and farmers and their families. You showed us that we can do it.

Rn Mom posted: "Awesome I would have kicked in a few bucks for that too...It is their stupid policy that made it all possible no question!"

You and others can still contribute. Each contribution will help keep that bill board up and shouting about the terrible reality of the past fires in Oregon.

Freepers in other states where terrible fires happened can use those graphics, and if we have any money left from this bill board. F.I.R.E. can help them in their efforts.

Arizona, Colorado, Alaska are states where this billboard would be useful and a real pain in the A$$es of the local Watermelon Agenda Jihadists in those states.

To answer your question about how to make your check out. Look at the bottom of the billboard. Make your check out to F.I.R.E., and send it to the po box at the bottom of the billboard.

Thanks EdReform!

The bill board will stay up as long as we have enough donations to keep it up!

JL, you asked me to remind you about a donation for the F.I.R.E. billboard.

This thread is an appropriate thread to remind you of your commitment to help keep this board up.

Thanks for all the great Freeper and other worthwhile organizations that you share with.

As you and I know, our time, talent and treasure are on loan from God. When we share those 3 loans from God with good needs, we get a refill of what we shared.

We don't really care what liberal rats have to say about this sign.

This bill board is up to "Bitch Slap" the Watermelon Green Jihadists as Atomic Punk noted whenever a motorist drives by and sees that sign on I5 just north of Medford.

Our goal with this bill board is to wake up conservative Americans and moderate Americans to the real evil these Watermelons are to America.

Hopefully, Freepers in Arizona, Colorado, Alaska and New Mexico can put up the same sign in their areas to "Bitch Slap" the evil Watermelon Green Jihadists in those states!

Please send notices to Bend, Madras, Maupin and Sisters Oregon newspapers. With the fires this past summer in their area, they should be on our side.

Does the Dalles Area have a local newspaper? If so they might be interested. Conservative cities in Washington, and their local newspapers would be good.

The newspaper in Yreka, Ca would be good. I'm pinging Marsh2 our Freeper in that area. She recently won a election in that area and represents the conservative side.

Please send a notice to the Crescent City Daily Triplicate. (Triplicate Home Page)

They had a lot of good articles on the Biscuit Fire and broke the story where the Floristy Circus Klowns refused to allow a big heliocopter with a water bucket to try to contain the fire in its early stages.

Also, the Brookings Curry Pilot had some excellent articles on the Biscuit Fire. The editor did many of the stories. (link to Curry Pilot)

Your next billboard should come this winter, with fish spawning in a stream chokded with mud.

No logging because of "silt"?

This "Stream" is SIX FEET of MUD.

Thank you EnvironMENTALists...

You get the idea. Don't let them forget.

I thought that you three ladies might be interested in the official press release on our FIRE billboard in Medford, Oregon.

Thanks for all of your help this past summer in letting other Freepers know about this billboard.

That would be a good one to go up later this winter.

Say trying to to spawn. I doubt if many fish will be able to spawn in a stream filled with ashes and silt thanks to the fires.

Thanks for your help with the Press Release.
