Stupid press. "Studying" an issue allows for a systematic dismantling of the idea, complete with facts and figures.

"Studying" an issue allows for a systematic dismantling of the idea, complete with facts and figures. From the "opposes" article .........
President Bush does not support the push for firearms "fingerprinting" that has grown from the unsolved Washington-area sniper shootings, because he is not sure of its accuracy, a spokesman said Tuesday.

Bush pushes for this and he will probably end up as a one termer!..I sure will not vote for him again if he does this!

Dems are such pandering monkeys. Why not just build a DNA database to go along with their ballistic fingerprints? We could start with minorities and the mentally ill since we know statistically they are most likely to committ crimes. Liberals never think through their idiot, freedom-hating logic.

This is going to be studied for a long, long time. I'd say until January, 2009.

if they 'study' the way I did in college, then there's no danger of anything coming of it

Fingerprinting Guns Fingerprinting guns? Why, that's a novel idea! What's a 'fingerprinting gun'?
To: hole_n_one
Rather than give the Democrats a political issue three weeks before the election, the White House is going to study this before laughing the concept out of existence.
Good move.

The one, two, three's of changing a firarms finger print.
1. Stainless steel bore brush attached to drill placed in chamber.
2. Sandpaper end of bolt, extractor, and fireing pin.
3. Round metal punch tapped lightly on end of muzzle.
Liberals haven't any common sense. Now have someone studying this send me a check.

Some very articulate comments reasoning against any "ballistic fingerprinting" legislation can be read
here.

I sure hope you're right. Otherwise we'll find out too late that the "W" stands for "Weasel".

Awesome......one more law only for people who already follow the laws. Criminals don't follow laws But I'm sure this additional law will do it this time !! Yep not gonna be like the other 200 millions times that the 30 thousand laws already on the books were broke by golly. We gonna make this one stick fer sure.
ya'll stay safe and armed !

And firing the gun changes the "fingerprint" according to the Second Amendment Fondation. Now what good will the fingerprint really do finding a criminal? It WILL create a database of gun owners for the grabbers to use!
