The pre-election polls for governor in Florida are tightening, according to John Zogby. Jeb Bush has a 48-45 lead over Bill McBride, who narrowly edged out Janet El Reño in the Democrat primary, thanks to, again, a screwed-up Election Day in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties.
John Zogby Now, folks, Terry McAuliffe was on the Today Show Tuesday, and he revealed that Bill McBride's finance chairman is his father-in-law. That's an interesting little tidbit, which really shows you how incestuous the Democratic Party has become. I, frankly, don't believe this latest Zogby poll.

Rush talked about Zogby today and acknowledged that he used to have a lot of respect for him, and even had suggested certain poll questions years ago.
Today he decreed that Zogby is now a shill for the democratic party.
There, he said it. Good for Rush.

Thanks, sweetie!

Yes, please tell us why Rush doesn't believe the Zogby poll. Maybe post the key paragraph.

How are things going in Tally?
I read Kh's book... and she alluded to how she's leaving when she wins (I don't think she meant to do that but she has a stream of conciousness.)
As for this whole race with Jeb, I just want McB to go away. The media has pumped him up from nothing... gag gag.
School is okay. _abbey

Rush is behind the curve on this one. Zog has always skewed left.

Hope someone will be on the lookout for voter fraud. I bet the Dems are going to try a repeat of 2000.

" This is rush 24/7 stuff.. i can't read it. Can you summarize it for me?" I'm sorry... I didn't think of that. Here's the rest of the piece... it's short anyway. (Sorry Rush, but this is for a worthy cause!)
Have you seen Zogby on TV lately analyzing his polls? This is no independent pollster anymore. This is a guy that's shucking and jiving for Democrats on every poll that he reports. I hate to say this, because it was not always this way. Zogby even used to let me put some questions in his polls. Now that he's on the map, it appears to me that Zogby is playing favorites. When a pollster on TV starts sounding like he cares about the result, then I question the poll. It's only a natural thing to pick up on, even with a modicum of intelligence and of course, I'm blessed with much more than that.

I don't think KH has been staying in town since the spring, but the house isn't on the market yet!
I need to get her book.

Republicans better mount a massive get-out-the-vote effort, phone calls, volunteers to take people to the polls, and educate the voters so that no tricks are played to discourage their vote.
I don't believe that this goofy looking McBride could possibly have this big a lead. I might believe it had he done better in the debate. This is disinformation meant to depress Republicans and keep them from the polls. They've tried it before. This is probably only the tip of what is being planned for Florida.

Zogby isn't the only pollster showing a close race, within the margin of error. SurveyUSA's latest poll shows Jeb leading McBride 50%-47%, the same margin as Zogby found. Rush started out the 2000 election cycle quoting the Zogby tracking poll every day. When Zogby's numbers began to show Bush trailing Gore, sometimes by large margins, Rush began to trash Zogby, and pushed Battleground as the most accurate poll. (Battleground predicted a 5 point Bush victory; Zogby predicted a 2 point Gore victory). It looks like Rush is repeating his "shoot the messenger" pattern this year.

Then what are we to make of the Zogby poll that puts Talent up over Carnahan 47-41? I'd like to give that poll reliability, but with Zogby's bias, I wonder about the reliability of this poll, too. If it's unreliable, it may mean that Talent is up by more than six, but it could be that Zogby's results are completely skewed.
