Well, no kidding? That's what Freepers have been saying all along.

As most of us already thought of course, and were ridiculed for it. This is terrifying, but we do know they have trained for this very kind of thing, and as I said on most posts, the government knows it too.

Is anyone here bothered by the fact that by calling this a possible terrorist action is just an excuse for getting the military involved in domestic policing actions. Isn't this a violation of posse comititus policy?
Everything bad that happens in the world is now blamed on Al Queda. I just have a hard time believing that Al Queda is responsible for so much of this. A straw man for a deeper agenda possibly?

Well, no kidding? That's what Freepers have been saying all along. Many freepers have been insisting that it IS a terrorist. There is a difference. OF COURSE they "concede" that it MAY be. It MAY BE anyone until we know otherwise. It would be just as wrong for the authorities to assume it is not a terrorist as it is for freepers to assume it is.

However, the consensus among the officials is that the sniper is American because the crimes do not bear the traditional hallmarks of an international terrorist attack -- nobody has claimed responsibility and U.S. intelligence has not heard chatter about the attacks. So what? I don't remember hearing anyone clamor to take responsibility for 9/11 either. Or any other terrorist attack against Americans in recent years for that matter. And just how specific is "chatter" usually anyway? Can't be too specific, or I'd imagine we would have prevented some of the successful attacks.

Some blabbermouth on tv or a print blabbermouth said or wrote that the Pentagon had assigned satellites to the DC area to help with the case.
The next shooting was in a covered garage.
Coincidence? Or cunning?

But you know, they're still intent on making us believe that this is the work of an ex-military type...even tonight the profilers are out in force, harping on this angle. How gullible do they think we are? This reminds me of the campaign when poor Bob Stevens, the first anthrax victim, was diagnosed. Did anyone really expect us to believe that he contracted inhalation anthrax from drinking water from a stream in the mountains of North Carolina?

I hope this/these coward(s) get cought by some angry civillians before the law catches them. It would be great to hear that the suspect(s) were dismembered and fed to themselves by a few concerned citizens.

Note: "And while organized terrorism has not been ruled out, so far we have found no direct link to organized terrorism."- FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III, October 16, 2001, Press Conference at DoJ Headquarters, referencing the anthrax attacks.

These alleged "intelligence" people are living in the past. This is a new type of warfare, and these nitwits are still relying on past models of behavior. Same as those who pooh-poohed the possibility of Islamic terrorists flying planes into buildings.
Wasn't it just last week that there was a front page story warning that US based Al Quieda cells were no longer taking orders from a central command, but were free to carry out missions on their own?

Screech! Racism!

"But terrorism experts say the shootings should not be classified as terrorist acts because the sniper has not given a reason for the shootings. "
No one laid immediate claim to 9/11, but that didn't stop these same talking-heads (read: Morons) from claiming it to be the work of terrorist.

Husband says the shooter(s) may have safe houses close to each scene. They ditch the white truck, jump into another car, and leave the area undetected.

Up until 9/11, Bin Laden never, ever took credit for any attack. It was said to be his MO, now this leftist media jerk is trying to say that this doesn't fit the pattern of a terrorist? Get real.
The left has been scared to death to admit that this was a terrorist attack for several reasons. First, to admit that this was a foreign terror attack would have necessitated the involvement of the Homeland Security force (Oops, I forgot, Daschle wouldn't let that come to a vote. We don't have a Homeland Security task force). Second, the left has been spending the past few months trying to convince us that Muslims are our friends and that they are just misunderstood (If that sounds like a pick-up line for a straying husband, it's no coincidence.) Third, the left would not want to give Bush another opportunity to act presidential and that would be inevitable if they admitted that this was the work of foreign terrorists. (After all, there's an election coming up, and so what if a few extra citizens die?)

WASHINGTON Absent hard evidence about motivation, the Bush administration is considering the possibility that foreign or domestic terrorists are behind the sniper slayings of nine people in and around the nation's capital. You have to love it if you love irony. This is the same logic that the Bush administration uses to convince us that Iraq needs to be attacked and troops need to be stationed there indefinately.
There's no evidence so we must assume X. X being whatever the administration needs to assume in order to get what they want.
It's surreal. This is more Orwell than Orwell. Ignorance is Strength.

There are a lot of stupid statements in this article. One, if this is part of a larger operation, why would they claim responsibility. Two, even obl denied responsibility for awhile about his org's. involvement in the atrocity last year. Finally, this won't be over until the last remaining cell is vaporized. Dig in folks. The end times aren't supposed to be necessarily fun.

two reasons why he isnt a foreign terrorist.
1st: He'd have no use for Tarot cards. They'd be an insult to his fanatic religion.
2nd: A muslkim terrorist wouldnt call himself god.
