MSNBC

Posted on 10/15/2002 4:13:51 PM PDT by fooman

MSNBC says that the terrorist used an AK-74. That and the fact the AP witness says that this guy looked Middle Eastern(MSNBC left this out), plus the story about two 'hispanics' at an earlier strike.

Plus the elusivisness and meticuluous planning of this group...

Everything about this points to a well planned terrorist operation.

Well we certainly are in agreement about that at least, xsrdx.

Man not to many people are very bright when it comes to weapon laws, so to clarify for a few people.

1) 100% fully automatic weapons are allowed and avalible for purchase in the United States of America, you must have a class III weapons permit from the FBI, if you think it's impossible to aquire these, then please, tell me how hollywood gets all these real weapons to fire real blanks? Digitaly impose them into the actors hands? Give me a break.
( NOTE: Some guns are still restricted because of calibur, or certan specific modifications )

Still don't beleive me? Go do a search for Class III weapons on google.

2) There are other permits ( not that this applies to this post, but I see people often who don't beleive/know that there are these permits ) that allow united states citizens to carry handguns hidden on thier person, check your local laws for them, I'm sure more than one of you live in a state with these permits.

Again, if you don't beleive me look for CCW permits on google or whatever search engine you use.

Peace.

On number 2. We should all be allowed to carry weapons and not have the second amendment abridged.

Any average "man on the street" could learn to do the same with just a few hours of training. 9 dead 2 injured out of 12+ attempts is not "unbelievably successful".

9 of 11 attempts were fatal, with a single round of .223REM. That's just not accidental, nor is it the result of "a few hours of training".

If consistent CNS shots under 100yds were EASY, LEA marksmen wouldn't need daily practice and $5000 rifles to do their jobs. Again, performance on the RANGE is often difficult to replicate in the FIELD, thus the need for constant practice and intimate knowledge of one's equipment.

This a**hole is certainly not a "sniper" in the traditional sense, but he's not some clown that learned how to shoot at the carnival, either.

The local media is reporting the AK report is no longer credible, they may even charge the "witness" for making a false report or obstruction.

Looks like we're back to speculation Square One.

I dont trust moosehead or the media.

Remember the AlQuada training video, and the shooting practice in Oregon.

Also, ABC reporting that the Al Quada caught in Paris said that three man sniper teams were trained.

Also FIVE witnesses from THREE different scenes said ME.

Plus the global attacks. Still too much evidence for me, and Meoosehead seems to have an agenda NOT to put out unpleasant facts.

They need that practice and expensive tools because they can't afford 3 failures out of 12 attempts. 75% kills may be acceptable for terrorists and impressive to sheeple, but that's unacceptable for legitimate professionals.
