Compared to all the other shootings, this one is not what I would call close to an Interstate.

We were standing in the checkout line at another Home Depot near Fair Oaks when a man with a cell phone said there had been a shooting at the Home Depot in Seven Corners.

The first words out of my mouth were, "that's not near an interstate. If it's him, he's changing his MO."

So, if he's changing his MO, nobody is safe until they catch him.

He changes his MO based on what is said about him by the police, news media, and talking heads. This person is sick.

He's changed his MO several times to accomodate what is being reported. And his MO has been discussed quite a bit in the media - and though I'm not one to go ranting about the media, I must say at this point that they need to just shut up.

So Moose says that the schools are safe, and the guy changes his MO (shooting adults) and shoots a kid. Then he's called the gas station sniper, and he moves back to the strip malls but tacks on a more difficult shot, if I'm understanding the parking situation correctly. Besides, wasn't everyone calling the sniper on the ease of his shots heretofore?

I heard some head on earlier tonight who scoffed at the notion this guy is a real sniper - said he needed to be "demoted" to "just a shooter with some luck" - and I cringed. Things like that are taken as challenges by the sniper, I think, and as much as I hunger for information that will make me feel safer about living here, I think it's time to put a lockdown on the media.

Out of curiosity, what time did you hear about the shooting? There've been posts about this happening "so late," but on Wednesday night, there was a significant delay between the time the shooting occurred and the time it was reported. When did this one happen?
