the pentagon would be quite a haul from the corners, assuming normal weeknight traffic ... Columbus Day, not much traffic, Pentagon is 15 minutes away. Also E on 50 is easier than W on 50 because major roads are overpasses instead of intersections. Also E on 50 is against traffic flow although 9PM is past rush in any case.

not to be flip - i graduated from FCHS (long time ago), and used to cruise the whole area for fun,
but i'd have thought, even given the holiday, it might've been a stretch for that caller to have been next to the shooter.
then again, i never did catch the elapsed time, as this has been the fastest thread i've seen here since 911 ...
