Drudge is so tiresome, always with a sensational headline regardless of the truth.

From local police scanners, they have a description this time....White male, blue shirt, carrying rifle... Cream colored GMC Astro van...

Given the various shades and degrees of lighting in the Seven Corners shopping center areas, that "white male" description may more likely mean caucasian, which would include males of Middle Eastern, Hispanic, European or even "south Asian" (Pakistani, Indian, etc.) ethnicity. And no, I'm NOT implying that this has anything to do with international terrorism.
