Do you think he's using a white van/truck at all?
Witnesses saw him in a white astro van.

CNN reporterette on site; not reporting any useful details. Not saying victims condition, one witness reporting single gunshot. Blocking eastbound traffic (toward DC). Waiting for official briefing for basic details such as sex of victim, condition of victim. Aaron Brown asks how many officers -- answer, place is "swarming, 100 officers, some ATF, helicopters" Trying to secure site to preserve evidence. Time of shooting, estimated 9:00 PM (no way -- first report I saw, here, was 9:57)

but it was always my understanding that you would rather be shot by a .223 than by a .45 handgun round.Do yourself a favor. Make up some ballistic geletain (real heavy duty Jello would work as well for this) and shoot it with a .45 and a .223 at 50 or so yards. You will probably change your mind after doing so. There are lots of myths out there, always check them out and test them if possible. (For those of you who think a .45 is the be all and end all of cartridges, I had a next door neighbor who's son got shot during a camping trip from about 1 ft. with a .45. Went right through his mid section and hardly bled. Aparently, the bullet just sort of pushed his intestines out of the way as it went through. They drove to a hospital for treatment. Bet no one can say that about a .223)

I'm close to buying a NAA Guardian in that caliber. You won't regret it. You can carry it in your front pocket so no concern about concealability. Reasonably accurate too. Only downside is when at the range it can tear up your trigger finger after a lot of rounds.

You're exactly right. I've been in this shopping center before. The Highway 7 side (the Front of the shopping center), the one with the Pizzeria Uno in the out parcel is a higher elevation than the back side of the shopping center. SO you do have upper and lower parking areas, even if there's no deck.

Mark Fuhrman speculating on Greta that the perp may be reacting to the recent reports of the Baltimore fellow...that the perp wanted "all of the credit".
Fox reporting white chevy astro last seen speeding away east on Route 50.

Koons Ford...yep, used to bring my Probe there for service. Fox saying White Astro-van heading east on 50....that would take him to downtown Arlington, right?

That area seems to be heavily trafficked. If the Sniper is shooting there, either he is getting bolder and more fool-hardy or he is incredibly sophisticated. Let us hope he becomes bold enough to slip up. I am still stunned he would shoot in such crowded surroundings.
