CNN Headline News is reporting that a woman has been shot near a Home Depot in Falls Church, VA, and that authorities are investigating whether this is another sniper attack.

If it is, the person I think might be involved lives .9 miles from this shooting. I wonder if him or his wife used to work there?

I know you've gotten a lot of flack for your theory, and I want to assure you I'm not giving you the same guff - but I thought your suspected perps were in the Hampton Roads area? If so, that's about an hour-and-a-half or two hours away from here. That's highway hours, not northern Virginia rush-hour hours.

I admit I'm piqued by your theory; I've picked it up in bits and pieces on the threads. I'd love to see it consolidated in one place, if you could find some hosting space. It would be positively lovely if you're right and your tips resulted in this freak being caught.

"white male" description may more likely mean Caucasian, which would include males of Middle Eastern, Hispanic, European or even "south Asian" (Pakistani, Indian, etc.) ethnicity.

I know Montgomery County uses codes 1-5 for different ethnicities. They do not use 'olive-skinned' routinely. Does anyone have anything further (other than Hispanic or possibly ME)?

even if this isn't terrorists this must be putting ideas in their heads..think about it..one sniper(or two) could cause panic and shut down the beltway with 1000's of cops..imagine what 10 or 20 could do in more cities..

I can agree with that but Homeland Insecurity could not do any more than is being done and would likely do less because the politicos cannot offend any group.

This area is packed with Muslims, Asians, Hispanics et al. There is a mosque roughly 3 blocks from this last shooting and our Congress critters would do flips if any group cast any aspersions on any of them. Let us not forget that Homeland Insecurity will have to get its' funding from Congress whereas as it exists the conglomerate gets funding from a variety of sources and can afford to be less controlled.

Perhaps along this "game" line: could be two perps playing a game. First one shoots one victim then the other shoots the next. Back and forth. Somehow they determine the location of the next shoot and challenge the other to make the shot there. Could explain the two different vehicles (one a more commercial box van the other an Astro van).

The question is, what method are they using to pick the next shoot location? Is there any correlation to the patterns (123, 456, etc.) that others have posted?
