CNN Headline News is reporting that a woman has been shot near a Home Depot in Falls Church, VA, and that authorities are investigating whether this is another sniper attack.

I had not thought of the angle of distraction/disruption of police in the area. I would think that the DC area police are already distracted a lot, but it has surely been increased a hundred fold with this. That's a concerning hypothesis.

Sure it does. Perhaps the witness only saw the van while it was across the parking lot and didn't see where it went upon exiting the parking lot.

Ah, if a witness can detect which vehicle a shot came from, clear across a parking lot full of cars, with acoustic factors, lights, glare, traffic noise, etc, that would be remarkable. Who knows...

Life has no value. And, the kid in the hospital, he's still on life support I'd bet. He's still critical a week later - they can say he's stable, but I don't see how he can pull through. I'm not a pessimist as a rule but he's got to rally soon or he won't make it. Burn victims can be in ICU for quite awhile and pull through but not shooting victims that by all accounts, should not be here. His family is wisely spending more time with him than in front of the cameras. I respect them for that.

not a good arguement..are cells set up with different missions.If they stop the Beltway shootings then I fear it would be terrorism..as anthrax just stopped. If a wacko they or he or she won't stop as needs the media attention to continue. My opinion. And the choice of stores ..these are all anchor stores..are Michaels and Home Depots all over the country..with Barnes and Noble..this person or persons knows his surroundings as any cell would if here for a while. Caller reporting arriving at Georgetown Pike having left Falls Church. He's convinced it's a professional terrorist if this killer's not caught tonight. He said the entire scene is like something out of a movie with all the police with fully automatic weapons, FBI, and ATF agents. He didn't know we had so many police.
