but a slap in the face is included as they
metion Nazi and White Supremacist protests.

Well, it's not like AP made this up, is it?

" Weeks before the trial was set to begin, a Nazi group
held a rally in Topeka where the case was repeatedly
cited. "

Well there were more than just Nazis upset that this story has not received the attention it deserves with regard to hate crimes. I'm disappointed... If this story were about white people committing these crimes against blacks, no matter what the "motivation" was, the media would be all over it as a hate crime.

I guess I shouldnt be surprised, but it is still a small victory for all the Freepers who helped out in my e-mail campaign.

They should indicate how many Nazis and White Supremacists rallied. Usually its between 2 and 5.

If between 2 and 5 Freepers showed up somewhere there would be no mention. If between 2 and 5 Nazis show up its national news and a "rally".

What other groups gravitated to the trial? Was NOI anywhere in sight? ACLU? Death penalty activists? Anybody? If a Freeper showed up with a sign, would he be tarred by "association"?

No, but they appear to be attempting to paint anyone who raises non-PC questions about race in relation to this crime as a Nazi sympathizer or at least a racist.

For instance, this quote:
"The case has become a rallying cry for white supremacist groups across the nation..."

The implication is that the only ones who are making this a rallying cry are "white supremacists." frontpagemag.com has also made this a rallying cry. Ergo, frontpagemag.com are crypto-white supremacists.

Well, it's not like AP made this up, is it?

When the colors are transposed, such things are called "civil rights rallies" and the people who participate are called "activists."

Apparently the only reason this is noteworthy for AP is that it has some white folks riled.

I'll speculate that, given the vagueness of the "Nazi" reference, the way it was brought up "repeatedly" was by pointing out that the press won't even talk about it when it is black on white, but tries to whip blacks into a frenzy and drive whites to mass suicide when the violence is white on black.

Note how dispassionately the article recounts the details of the crime, and how the really shocking details are omitted from this report.

Out of curiosity, since this little spree wasn't racially motivated, how many of the victims were black? I know none of the 5 in the house were, but the killers made at least two other hits. Were any of them black? No? What are the odds?
