After all, they have 65 to choose from- any of which will have a clean, error-free election.

Great point, GG. You know why Palm Beach County wasn't included in the primary problem counties? After redisticting, I became a Palm Beach voter - even though I live in Lee County on the West coast - along with a conservative majority who votes with care and now makes up ~40% of the PBC vote. A recount of the new Palm Beach County would be very revealing, imho. (^:

Yeah, but are they going to observe the elections in MO, NJ, SD, & CO?

Our Fla. Rep. is bringing the House. Jeb asked for the Justice Dept. intervention after the primary rat tricks. State laws are different, but with evidence of voter fraud - GOP pols in those states could ask for help.

Ah, the magic of redistricting.....I, too dilute the PBC liberal vote to keep Congressman Mark Foley in Congress.
But in case of a recount- it's still done within each county- even for multi-county races. Theresa LePore seems to have learned a hard lesson from Election 2000, and is resolved not to be in the spotlight again. She did well in the primary. Not as good as our West Coast Supervisors, but good enough.

Great point, windchime- be vigilent.
Your area spawned the spurious "police intimidation" charge in Election 2000 that turned out to be a robbery in progress.
I hear your Dem supervisor has higher ambitions, ??Mayor?-- but no clue how that will affect her handling of disruption at the polls.

Yes, GG, there was talk of our SOE, Pam Iorio, running for mayor, but she decided not to be a contender this time around. As far as I can tell, she has been conscientious about performing her duties. In fact, in an interview after the primary, Governor Bush suggested she could teach Miami-Dade and Broward how to conduct an election.

I do think we all need to be watchful. With so much attention on the bad performers (M-D & B) there might be fraud/disruption attempts at softer targets on election day.
