My prediction is he/they skips today and hits on Tuesday. Maybe. For whatever significance it might have, today (Columbus Day) is a federal government holiday. Federal offices are closed and civil servants have the day off. So do many federal government contractors since their customers are off. That would all change the traffic dynamics for the day. Non-federal-connected businesses are generally open. The real workweek in the Washington DC area starts tomorrow (Tuesday).

Student is my number one choice for several reasons:
1. No personal relationships except 1 (or 2 maybe) co-conspirators
2. Casual clothes and packpack and all kinds of technical little goodies (GPS etc)
3. Irregular hours
3. Computer, TV News access
4. Undefined hours
5. Ability to be away weekends.
Possibly a return student or transfer
6. Little or no contact with relatives suggesting ???
The college is up north but safe harbor on the weekend is down south where plans for the next week are assessed and changes made as necessary.
Next location...west of beltway..area Rte 66,29,50 area. They seem to pass over their previous routes so they would go through Manasses and get on at 95 & 495.
There's nothing to say they have to make a hit and if they can't carry it out, they'll just scout for a new location for the next convenient time.

Well anything's possible at this point, it could be a couple of students. But what's their motive? And how do they keep getting away under incredible police presence? And why now, in DC? It still just doesn't add up to me.

A thread got pulled? Was it an article or a personal opinion?

Sniper may also be using today to throw off his significant other. Normally at work, she may have some suspicion so he still goes out like he has been but will not shoot as to show her "see I went out again and there wasn't a shooting.

One of the detectives said he was making a brief phone call to his office and saw 2 white vans and a white box truck go by within the first couple of minutes of his phone call.
Carry a camera. Take everything you can as soon as you can...pace in a small circle or zig-zag so you're moving.

Lots of ME's here on student visas, certainly.

Your theories have, and still do, intrigue me. Good thinking.

Yeah, Kim, they were only out last weekend--and Curtis Sliwa played it up big on his talk show--at least I saw him do it on MSNBC today. I'd like to see them out at drive times Monday through Friday. That's the time most shootings occurred. If I lived in the area--I do have a few relatives who live there--I'd feel safer having a Guardian Angel pump my gas, but what if I run low during the week? Are they going to be there when I need them? Probably not. They need to be there at the times of day of the shootings.
And now I'm off to make some moola. If anything happens, please ping me. I'll be able to check in from time to time, but only briefly.

If we don't see anything today then can we contemplate that the shooter hides behind a federal job?Absolutely, the obvious first place to look: the Post Office.

The phrase doesn't have to come from a game. I did a search for the phrase, "I am God" and found this disturbing video.

I bet the bastid could be a postal worker... a foot-walker who has a truck. Walks the neighborhood and knows the terrain. He/she carries a bag without much mail and the rifle is in 2 or 3 parts.
Good point!

Funny you should mention that as I was thinking about Trenton, Boston, NY etc. while connecting dots on Atta last year.

Thanks for the information...
I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt...maybe they all have day jobs during the week? But this puts a different perspective on their agenda. Although, they are making people feel better at least on weekends. Maybe national guard during the week and they could wear bullet proof vests? (that's probably too extreme isn't it)

It's scary all right.
I noticed the web site address for the CD of the song, "Hey, Mister Policeman" was incorrect. Here's the correct address:
http://www.fosters.com/showcase/issues00/august/31/cd1.htm
The song may be the reason the killer had the odd salutation on the note with the tarot card.

It was a first-hand account of a freeper who watched Police go after a suspicious guy.
It was pulled because someone thought the tactics were described too explicitly.
