The boasting of King Darius was not as important as his doing it in multiple languages. Combining the multiple languages on the Rosetta Stone and the Behistun Rock made possible the breaking of the Cuneiform "picture writing" code.

Well, maybe in retrospect. But if they had all spoken the same language to start with, cracking the codes wouldn't have been necessary. {ggg}. But then that would have goofed up the tower of Babel scheme, etc....
