Duck Daily Bag and Possession Limits: 5 ducks per day which may include no more than: 4 mallards (max. 2 hen mallards), 2 wood ducks, 2 redheads, 3 scaup, 4 scoters, 1 fulvous tree duck, 1 pintail (during open season for pintail), 1 mottled duck, and 1 black duck (during open season for black ducks). During all three duck season splits, hunters may take 1 additional teal (blue-winged or green-winged teal). The possession limit is twice the daily bag limit. Closed season for canvasbacks and harlequin ducks. In addition to the duck bag limit hunters may take 15 coot and 6 mergansers per day, which may include not more than 1 hooded merganser. |

*** Sea Duck Bag Limit - There are three types of ducks considered sea ducks: scoters, long-tailed ducks (oldsquaw), and eiders. A hunter may not take or attempt to take more than a daily bag limit of 5 sea ducks (no more than 4 scoters) from one or more waterfowl hunting zones within the State. For example, a hunter could take 3 scaup, 1 long-tailed duck, and 1 scoter in the Offshore Waterfowl Hunting Zone to complete a daily bag limit of 5 regular ducks. The hunter could then hunt in the Sea Duck Zone and take 3 more sea ducks to complete his aggregate daily bag limit of 5 sea ducks (no more than 4 scoters). Daily bag limit on scoters is 4 and possession limit is 8. |
