I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.
No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.
Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

how do you factor in the other shootings? For one thing, the family that manages Michael's also has a lot of investments in oil, as well as energy companies. The only ones I can't figure out are the older man from DC and young boy from Bowie.

Not curious at all. Islamists are targeting oil companies. May have Indonesian/Maylasian or Egyptian connection, since I think that's where Exxon/Mobile is now.

I am starting to wonder if this has something to do with an Al Qaeda sleeper agent
remember when they said everyday Americans will die next? My guess is that suicide missions are too self-defeating in the US since it's becoming harder for the evil-doers to get in...therefore suicide is too expensive from a manpower P.O.V.

I doubt it, too. But the statement was made they don't exist. I say they do. Not saying they are aimed at gas stations.

Same thing I tell my kids if anything happens at school: GET OUT!

Gas stations make sense. The target stands still while filling the vehicle. You could even set up early and know exactly where to aim. Makes it easy. I have a hard time believing that the shooter has not ditched the van by now or is taking a break till things cool down. Maybe change cities.

You're not counting the Sept. 14th shooting at the Hillandale liquor store.

This will be over by noon is my prediction. How I hope that you are right, Fred.

On a rainy, cloudy day?

More : Spotsylvania police will have press conf at 11:30 am at the EXXON

If this were in Florida, the national guard would have been called out after the second shooting. I can't figure out why on earth they haven't been yet -- since were in the middle of a war on terror and all
To: dogbyte12
That is certainly a possibility. I hope not, though.

Crawling is likely what they want. I'd shoot back (or first, if drawn upon).

Yes, thats been speculated earlier in the thread, and on other threads. I guess that means I think like a Freeper, lol.
To: mystery-ak
If I was the shooter and wanted to change my MO,I know what I would do and it doesn't make me feel good that one of the bad guys might think like me.

Is today's shooting victim alive or dead, I have heard both?
To: areafiftyone
"This is just a theory but I think this guy did this on his way to work. It happened at 9:00"
That's an intersting idea. Does seem that a lot of shooting happen outside or close to the 9 to 5 time range.
