NEWSFLASH: Another shooting, approx. 9 AM, this time near Fredericksburg

I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.
No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.
Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

This whole thing is really starting to grip every one here. THe HS across the street cancelled their homecoming, all of the kid's soccer games are cancelled, and it has became a part of just about every conversation at work. In short there is a pall that just seems to be hanging over the whole DC area. It is simply unbelievable that with the FBI, ATF, SS, State and County Police and Sheriffs we haven't got anything to go on. To put icing on the cake I saw that Connie Morella was one of a handfull of Republicans who voted against the Iraq resolution. I think it is time to move.

The Associated Press Friday, October 11, 2002; 6:54 PM A woman and two boys are dead and four children are in critical condition after a minivan crashed into a tree in Upper Marlboro this afternoon. Prince George's County Fire spokesman Chauncey Bowers says it happened at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Ritchie Marlboro Road. Bowers says one woman and one boy were pronounced dead at the scene, and another boy died at the hospital at Andrews Air Force. He says two 14-year-old boys, a seven-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl were taken in critical condition to Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C. All of the victims were inside the minivan. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Wonder what caused this lady to loose control of a van full of kids? a 223?
