NEWSFLASH: Another shooting, approx. 9 AM, this time near Fredericksburg

I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.

No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.

Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

The card reminds me so much of the Anthrax Letters. Except for being addressed to people who would certainly cause it to make headline news, the notes were unnecessary.

The card says everything the Anthrax letters said and there's a billion of the cards out there.

We had victims BEFORE we had the Anthrax letters just as we have victims before the Tarot card.

My point is, someone is firing a very loud gun in earshot of dozens of people, numerous times and we have no leads?

Possibility of a suppressor, and surprisingly small ones are available for AR-15 and other .223/5.56x45 rifles. Saw an article in a "Cop Weapons" magazine that I picked up at WalMart recently, but just noticed that article a couple of days ago.

The other alternative is that the sniper(s) are firing from inside a vehicle (or building for that matter), which would tend to muffle the sound quite a bit. IN either case you'd still hear the mini sonic boom of the bullet, but since that comes from everywhere along the line of flight, it would likely sound to an observer as if it were coming from the point of closest approach of the bullet to the observer, which makes for different reports from different observers.

He doesn't flee then.He fits in and can casually leave the scene as no one would think he's out of place.Therefore, he MAY not be a Muslim, or in any kind of uniform, and may have a vehicle that is too common for most to suspect.

This more and more smells to me like 2 teams working each State, and in no need to travel far to risk anything that could cause their capture.

I think that was the bigger message today. That it 'could' have been the cop, but the sniper 'chose' the other guy. Sniper gets to choose who lives, who dies.

I'd assume the perps have been lurking on that site and got the idea for their message from the posts . They could be trying to set them up too.

I'm more inclined to think that the perp is doing these shootings to show that we need to arm our citizens. To show that LE can't protect people.

Having said that I doubt a set up, but perhaps someone making the ultimate sacrifice, in hopes that it may show the government that only an armed people can defend themselves.

I'm not saying that the shooter is right for taking innocent life, just that he/they may see it as being 'for the greater good'.

The tarot card then becomes a means by which certain people would understand what is going on.

Seems like there is a Black-White pattern of killing being
established (with time to think)after the SPREE killing on Thursday in which he selected targets as quickly as possible.

The initial SPREE killings was made so he could get Media and police attention quickly. Now that he has the attention he can be selective with time and place.

What if all of this is misdirection? Let's consider from the other side of the coin.

What have been the results of this series of murders? Law enforcement and media tied up, Secret Service, FBI, and ATF called in. Population distracted from looking for anything but the sniper(s).

I think the way to look at this is different.

What plan would require that all these agencies and the media would be distracted?

Yes, I'm beginning to suspect they're either deliberately alternating white-black, or tossing a coin. Of course, if they're just shooting the first likely victim, in these parts that might have much the same effect.

You could very well be right. After today, anything's possible. The only thing I'm sure of right now is that they're at least 2. And then this Michael Savage show that keeps bugging me. (See my earlier post to you).

The B&W pattern is definitely intriguing. And I'm no statistician but I think the odds of getting such a regular pattern by tossing a coin are very small. Can you confirm that the pattern is accurate?

More killings. No matter how many police, no matter where they are, more death.

Now, as a side note. FNC just played a sound clip of Moose. The plea to the sniper. He said something like 'To whoever is doing this, we ask that you reconsider ... '

Dang, can't recall the the wording that came after and its important. I wonder if the sniper has told them in a note, why they are doing this. darn, maybe they'll play it again.

A uniform would stick out, and bring attention, unless it is someone dressed as a utility worker, doing phone, hydro or even...garbage disposal.Another possiblity is a service company employee who can move at odd hours without being detected...uniform and linen supply and cleaning delivery svcs?? and who can casually leave the scene and onto a new delivery and "fit in".

I'm talking appearance. There are black and white appearing hispanics/indians. The pics (snipers trail) at CNN.com show people *looking* white or black starting at 6th victim. He is looking at these people with scope many yards away.
