I dont know about that, I own a number of Para Ordinance and Kimbers that cost me in the 5 to $700 range that will hold their own just fine with anything out there. My favorite carry is a Para 6.45LLDA, one of the nicest DA triggers ever made. I own #19 and #36 Glocks also, like them alot, except for the spongy trigger. I also own 2 SIGs which I love. I find that I am more accurate and comfortable with the 1911 design over all, but thats me. Heck, I know others that won't touch anything but a wheel gun. That works for them.

I'm surprised- glad I ineherited a nine!

Looks like an aftermarket barrel in that picture. Never seen a silver Glock barrel. Don't blame Glock for the failure of some other manufacturer's part.
One great thing about Glocks is they work just fine out of the box, and upgrades are rarely worthwhile if not detremental (unlike most 1911s, which usually requires an expert overhaul to come up to snuff (don't get me wrong: a properly overhauled 1911 is sweet, but you've paid a whole lot more)).

Uhm - I've seen a lot of blown barrels in my time - how did they get thet out of the slide?? Actually, how did it spread that far if it was in the slide?

In my opinion, the TRP isn't worth $2400, ........then you'd have a cat if ya saw a friend of mines "Larry Vickers 1911A1"......3800$ out the door. As long as mine shoots minute of eyeball at 10 meters I'm a happy camper.
Stay Safe !!

As your aware I carry a 1911A1 meltdown but have been smitten with a SIG 239 in .357SIG of late How's the recoil on the 239 using .357 Sig?
I really like the 239 in 9mm, and am considering either a .40 or .357 in that model (after I get a 220).

Very manageable IMHO..... The 239 is pretty close to perfect as one can get for a CHL/CCW piece. I have put about 2000 rounds through mine as the transition from DA to SA is a task I must make memorymatic . Very Kewl Tewl . The SIG 239 I have has the rubber hoague grips and hex head grip screws and is as near perfect out of the box as one can get for the price.
My 1911A1 is still my day to day carry but the little SIG 239 , my 220 & 228 get to see the light of day now and then also.
Stay Safe and get ya one and let me know what ya think ! Glock Rocks also has a new one and likes it as well. Good choice , suggest ya try one.
