No, I think SS ought to be ramped down rather than having a cut-off date. For example:
Anyone retiring within 10 years of today gets full benefits (with full withholding in the meantime). A person retiring in 11 years gets 96% of benefits... 12 years, 92% of benefits, etc... something along those lines such that Social Security is phased out completely in a few decades, but doesn't totally screw people who have already paid in significant amounts. Residual benefit payments after withholding ends would be payed for out of general tax revenues... I think it's worth every penny to get rid of such an inefficient socialist program.

Social security should be abolished along with the income tax and federal reserve( more important then you probably realize) and all entitlements for able bodied adults period. The income tax should be replaced with a NRST supplemented with a lottery.
