"Police are on the lookout this morning for a white van that was reportedly seen leaving the Prince William County gas station where a man was fatally shot last night. If the van was at the gas station, what does WMAL's "apparently from a distance" mean? Either the van drivers didn't do it or they did but they aren't the shooters their looking for. Of course, this IS the Washington P&$%#@!, so I guess we'll have to wait and sort through the facts whenever they emerge...
Exactly my thoughts when I read it.
Doesn't even register as reasonable guesswork.
