I don’t see an environmental connection to the post office (or the bench ;o), but here’s something that might send a PETA/ELF whacko over the edge:

From the Washington Post:

Sarah Ramos, 34, died moments after she got off a bus on Connecticut Avenue at the Leisure World Shopping Center and sat on a bench in front of the Crisp & Juicy restaurant to read. Family and friends declined to be interviewed, and police were unable to provide any details of her life.

From digitalcity.com, Washington Restaurant Guide:

Not only is the chicken wonderful, Crisp and Juicy makes one of the best steak sandwiches (their Carnita) anywhere.

The bullet passed through Ramos, into the restaurant window.
