October 10, 2002 -- Cops were examining the Psycho Sniper's tarot death card with the mocking words, "Dear policeman, I am God" - amid fears the killer may have struck again last night.

Detectives from the sniper task force rushed to Manassas, Va., where a man was shot to death at a Sunoco station.

I am no expert, but my opinion is that "I am God" could be a reference from the Koran:

Verily, I am God: there is no God but I: so serve thou me, and establish regular prayer for celebrating my praise. -- Koran 20:14

Thanks for adding that. That was quite a find you made. I should do a google cache search so that both phrases get highlighted.

Don't you think it's creepy, in light of the victims and locations choses, that DOC's "Dear Mr. Policeman:" remark says:

I know where your wife shops

and

I know where your kid goes to school

But plenty of Muslims claim to act in the name of God, so I don't think it's a stretch that he would write the note as such, not meaning he IS God, but that he is acting in God's place. Especially if his English isn't perfect. Makes me wonder what the handwriting looks like.

I'm not saying he's a Muslim terrorist, just that the possibility shouldn't be ruled out.

It's possible you were the first to mention that particular game, but I'm pretty sure that after I posted my first comment about video games Some posters came up with names of arcade computer and video games that could match the killers MO. I'm not sure which thread it was and I can't remember exactly which games though because this Mom isn't into this kind of games... Maybe one of the posters was Shooter3... :o)

And before that - "I know where you live" - one man was actually shot mowing his lawn, right? They are actually in order, in that case. Pretty strange coincidence.

Good point. The comments on that thread are so weirdly connected to the events that I came to the conclusion that the perps are either lurkers or people trying to set up the posters on that site.

I'm convinced Wayne Hicks has nothing to do with it but it could be that someone is trying to discredit him. As for the posters, the perps have shown they're very smart, and I don't think they would leave traces like that that could lead to them. My guess: a set up...

LOL.......Well we shall see, it may turn out to be a dead end, but I have a very strong hunch on this Navy Seals connection....:O)

Someone's gonna get a knock on the door, soon if not already. Some sites keep the IP of everyone who visits. That would include lurkers as well as posters...

IIRC, he was cutting the grass at a car dealership, not at his own house.

Yea. Can't remember the details, just that the guy got an early morning visit from the SS or the FBI. Maybe it was that Sollog guy. Not sure now.

I swear to God, you two are probably the same person posting under two different names, as only the two of you are concerned with your ridiculous video game theories and who posted it first. Pathetic. I own SOCOM and love it. It is not a sniper game. It is a tactical missions game. You give orders to your men and carry out various recon missions, hostage rescue, saving the world from bioterrorism type stuff. The game is not a first person view game (unless its night-time and you have to put on your night vision goggles). I have yet to even use a sniper rifle. I thought it was the liberals who were always trying to scapegoat music, movies, and video games for crimes committed by poorly-reared individuals. I thought it was the liberals who frivolously sued everytime something unfortunate happened (even it it were their own fault). I thought it was conservatives who believed in personal accountability. This video game talk is nonsense. You haven't even played it. How can you pass judgment on it?

I'm suggesting that if there is a thread on a chat board somewhere that has references "Mr. Policeman" and "I am God" on the same thread -- someone is going to get a visit. I'm not clear if that has been claimed.

Interesting.

Also, in numerous non-Christian cults the leader has referred to himself as God. Rev. Jim Jones used to scream, "I am God." Some of his members are still out there and some are still in hiding, fearing his Death Squad. Incidentally, the present mayor of San Franciso remained a staunch supporter of Jones.

Then there were the various black cult leaders who proclaimed to be God, notably Father Divine. Sweet Daddy Grace also at least implied it.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the second rude and nasty post that I got from you. Be assured though that this is the last post you'll ever get from me again...

Yeah,North doesn't seem to be able to count very well.

I could come up with a theory to blame these shootings on nearly any group.Sure, the shooter could be a Nam vet but he or she could be any other thing and any age, also.

They're grasping at straws to win at the PC(BS) blame game.
