You must be a Yankee. If so, you are allowed to spell it "Bull Run". There were a couple little skirmishes there during the war between the states. We won both of them.

That is where Stonewall Jackson earned his nickname. It was actually awarded to his battalion by General Bee, but it stuck to Jackson. Bee got killed.

There's a cute story about Jackson from out of the war with Mexico. He set up a cannon in front of a fort. It was close to suicide, but he managed to survive it. Not by much though.

Asked later why he didn't pull back, be responded something to the effect that he wasn't ordered to pull back.

Hey, Harry! I notice you're saying we now. Left California behind and planted your roots down firmly in Virginia, I see! :^) PW County press conference coming up at 12:30 but I think I understood a reporter to say they don't expect any new information.

THanks for the history tid bit. I had never heard of it before. Bull run doesn't even ring a bell at this point. (Wasn't that a baseball movie?) :D
