US and Britain are bombing air radar sites in Mosul, Iraq, it has been reported in the Japanese press, quoting Reuters. Actually, to the north and west of Mosul, in the No Fly Zone. This is of course a bit by bit ramping up the inevitable. No reports on numbers of casulties. Announced by European Command, according to report I translated just now (4:45 p.m. Eastern Wednesday, 5:45 a.m. Thursday in Tokyo)

I don't know who Dante3 is but certainly his posts here on this thread have left a very bad impression with me.
To: Judith Anne
i have disagreed with him in the past, on issues i can no longer recall, but i have also seen him make posts that i agree with. THIS ONE, i feel he is very wrong about. i just want to disabuse freepers of the notion that there is a bogeyman behind a screen name. Lots of times it is just a misguided freeper.

From the sounds of it, it sounds like they are straight from the DU.com school of thought...it is hard to believe they would have a conservative thought in their mind knowing their opinion (drivel) they speak on regarding Iraq.
We all have our own opinions I guess. Dante3 isnt changing mine after 12 yrs of Husseins nonsense. If ANYONE takes Husseins story over Bush's then they are seriously deluted.
People like Dante3 and Robert Bryd seem to think it is some grudge match. I can't, for the life of me, figure out if they are seriously thinking that, or have some motive to say something so entirely rediculous.
Its sad people think in such a cynical way...if its true, then I would apologize profusely, but if Bush is more dangerous than Hussein, I would have expected to see nukes dropped all over the Middle East on 9-12-01.

i totally agree with you on this. you can't be alive and cognizant on Planet Earth and not know that Hussein needs to go. i cannot see the other side of this one for the life of me. FOR GOD'S SAKE, richard cohen agrees!!! did you see
THAT??? Now it is a sad day when i agree with richard cohen on anything, but there you have it. Even that dimbulb gets it. But, alas, not poor Dante3....

Better yet. Let's nuke every nation in the world. Then we Americans can go to sleep without the fear of somebody destroying Indianapolis,Baltimore or Phoenix.
My feelings exactly
To: Dante3
You are a brave soul. I can see us going to war with Iraq and I can actually back it. Nonetheless the problem I have is why not china, syria, iran, etc, etc. I think China is a much greater threat then Iraq will ever be.

The U.S. will go to the most remote and hostile places to earth to crack on Sammy Hansen and the Taliban, but won't expend any serious effort towards policing the border with Mexico. It's been said on Free Republic that 9/11 was an immigration problem, not a military problem. Sometimes I think we should gather up all our ships and planes and soldiers and just bring them home.
Why did we bomb Serbia again? What did the Serbs do to us besides help us during WWII? If it was to gain brownie points with Islam, it didn't do any good. I like our military very much, and I hope the people in charge know what they're doing when they send the military into action. Someday all these little countries may be able to bomb us back.

Patently untrue. 19 bigwigs were present in the first round of trials. There were thousands of lower ranking folks tried afterwards. I stand corrected. Though I doubt we had much influence over how the Russians choose to conduct their trials even though they supposedly followed the Nuremberg convention. Certainly the vast majority of those who were directly involved with the holocaust got away with it.

Sound it out. Think of it as a highly charged giggle. Picture tears coming out as one does it, with an index finger pointed at the intended target. It is roaring laughter - generally the type of laughter you let out when you see your enemy slip and fall on a banana peel. It's a little more than "Ha Ha." It is "Bwa Haa Haa" all rolled together.

"I will readily support this war if someone can cite a single source where Saddam ever indicated he :
1. Wants to directly "attack" America.
2. Considers the American people (as opposed to President Bush and his father) to be his "enemies". "
His troops shot at me just a few months ago. I was in an American aircraft. I consider that a pretty direct attack. And if you think back to '91, one of the first things Saddam did after invading Kuwait was to take Western civilians as hostages. Saddam considers his own people to be his enemies; do you really think he considers American citizens to be his pals?
