US and Britain are bombing air radar sites in Mosul, Iraq, it has been reported in the Japanese press, quoting Reuters. Actually, to the north and west of Mosul, in the No Fly Zone. This is of course a bit by bit ramping up the inevitable. No reports on numbers of casulties. Announced by European Command, according to report I translated just now (4:45 p.m. Eastern Wednesday, 5:45 a.m. Thursday in Tokyo)

Who are you referring to as the destroyers of these cities? The Germans, Japanese, Russians, Canadians, Mexican,Chinese, N. Koreans, Pakisranis, Indians, etc? These nations have far greater capability to destroy us than that poor starving backward country called Iraq.
My God think about it. Can we really wait until one of these countries attacks us? Let's preempt them all for they are are capable to wiping us out.
Better yet. Let's nuke every nation in the world. Then we Americans can go to sleep without the fear of somebody destroying Indianapolis,Baltimore or Phoenix.

"plumetted" ?
Depends on who writes the history. If Saddam writes it it will be something like this:
"The American aggressors finally reaped the just rewards of years of oppressing Allah's children when they noticed several of their most important cities mysteriously replaced by mushroom clouds."
If the newly liberated people of Iraq write it it will be something like this:
"The Americans finally addressed an oversight from the first Persian Gulf War and eliminated the cancer upon the middle east - responsible for the deaths of over a million innocent people - known as Saddam Hussein."

I respect your opinion, as wrong as I think it is... You should be thankful you arent banned like your like minded friends a democraticunderground do to people who think opposite of them.
Of course you wouldnt even have the privelage to express your views here under tyrant rule like Saddam. So be thankful that we are removing the threat so you can continue your misguided views.

"
I wonder what history will say about our attacks on Vietnam, Serbia, Iraq and all the other small countries we plumetted with our cruise missiles, smart bombs and B-52s?"
We should have used A-bombs instead?

I thought the Germans were the big all time criminal losers of world war II? My guess is that our government has a pretty good idea that Saddam was the instigator of 911 and Bin Ladens club the actors. the trade center was hit on 911 for the second time. It was an act of war. They declared war on us. Are we not supposed to defend ourselves?

When the Germans leveled Russian villages in WW II because they were shot at, the Nurnberg Trials call it a "war crime". Russian civilian casualties from German reprisal raids against partisans were also deemed a "war crime". There were 19 convictions resulting in 12 executions from the Nuremberg trials. They got the top top dogs, not the grunts. Your facts are as faulty as your logic.

There's a big difference between your example and our attacking radar sites. A better analogy is the bombing of factories during WWII.

The citizens of Russia that the Germans killed were their intended targets. Any civilians we kill, are unintended targets. BIG difference.

Gee what will History say? Tell us all before we bomb Iraq!

I admire your tenacity even though I doubt your logic or facts. Nevertheless you strike me as someone bold, someone with enough courage to march into a wind tunnel, and urinate and defecate.
Only problem is, at the end of it all, the only one left with crap and piss all over himself will be you.

Like the 3,000 innocent civilians killed on 9/11 in America. There were too many wounded on 9/11 for America to get an accurate count.

What do we call the dead Iraqi civilians our raids leave behind? You actually fall for that crap? BWWWWAAAHHHHAAAAAHHHHAAAHH. Another useful idiot. (By the way, even if so, there really is a difference between collateral damage and targeting civilians. One is evil and one is a tragic fact of life).
