[history]
Today would have been John Lennon's 62nd birthday. And on Friday, his widow is giving a little gift to filmmaker Michael Moore.
It's "Happiness Is a Warm Gun," a track from the Beatles' White Album. Yoko Ono herself made sure that Moore could have "Gun" for his celebrated documentary about gun violence, Bowling for Columbine. United Artists opens the film Friday in New York and Los Angeles, and in more cities on Oct. 18.

Thing is, these people violated existing laws to acquire the guns in the first place. So, the answer is to make more laws? Maybe we should set up the mechanism to enforce the existing laws, first.

This has been my theme for the last year...enforce the laws that are currently on the books.

One needs only to look to England to see this gunless utopia the left believes will come to pass if they ever remove all guns from the USA. They now exoerience the highest crime rate in the western world. Nice job!!!

Well now, there are two of MY favorite people -- Yoko Ono and Michael Moore. Two marxists that have made a fortune off a capitalist system that they profess to despise.

Yoko Ono: trying so desperately to be relevant after all these years, and failing miserably.

If John Lennon was killed by a gun, then shouldn't Mark David Chapman be set free? What do you say, Yoko?

Personally, I'm glad I live in a country with gun control.Yes, I'm sure you like to have your chin wiped and your healthcare 'free' also.
The difference between your worldview and mine is the reason we tossed your forefathers out of here.
As George Will says, "A well-armed society is a polite society."
We Americans like to take responsilbility for ourselves (real Americans, anyway...)

I know we have a high crime rate, but somehow I doubt it's that high. Personally, I'm glad I live in a country with gun control.
I am glad you live there too

She's not a girl who misses much
Do do do do do do do do ooh yeah
She's well acquainted with the touch of the velvet hand
Like a lizard on a window pane
The man in the crowd with the multicoloured mirrors on his hobnail boots
Lying with his eyes while his hands are busy working overtime
A soap impression of his wife which he ate and donated to the National Trust
I need a fix 'cause I'm going down
Down to the bits that I left uptown
I need a fix 'cause I'm going down
Mother Superior jump the gun, Mother Superior jump the gun
Mother Superior jump the gun, Mother Superior jump the gun
Mother Superior jump the gun, Mother Superior jump the gun
Happiness is a warm gun
Happiness is a warm gun mama
When I hold you in my arms
And I feel my finger on your trigger
I know nobody can do me no harm
Because happiness is a warm gun mama
Happiness is a warm gun yes it is
Happiness is a warm yes it is gun
But don't you know that happiness is a warm gun mama

Joey Ramone even chimes in on "What a Wonderful World," the Louis Armstrong classic.
Oh crap. This is really tempting me to buy this soundtrack.

The Beatles put out some good music and Yoko Ono was a real skank, but the truth is they were a band a very good one, but still just a band. Oh, Yoko is still a skank.

Success! Screw giving Michael Moore (or Yoko, for that matter) any money! I can get that song
on Joeys album!
