The dems, or some of them, are going nuts. I think Daschle fears losing the Senate. And they have played the "Bush" issue so much for months, they're frustrated that it's not working. So they now want to talk about the "economy", but have nothing to say about it, so made up a story how big, bad Bush is preventing them from saying it because of the Iraq discussions, which they themselves promulgated since Bush wanted to keep the whole thing out of the Congress in the first place.

I hate the way Byrd yields so readily for a supportive, friendly question from Sarbanes, who by the way, was in front of the cameras this morning, backing up law enforcement of Prince George, Maryland, like he was helping look for the sniper. He looked so "pretty , pretty, pretty", to quote Byrd!
