How long has Byrdman had the shakes and the drools. I'm guessing the first 4 rows of the Senate chambers clear out when he steps up to the podium.
To: mwl1
He is doing great!

Can't tell if Leahy is there or not but Orrin Hatch is going at it hot and heavy. Wow. I've been waiting for this kind of outrage from the Pubs for years. Hatch is SHOUTING and his face is red Wants a "stinking, solitary vote!"

The Senate is broken. Absolutely broken Between this nonsense and the election tampering, I wonder how long it will be before a civil war erupts?
To: ncweaver
Orin Hatch is telling it like it is. The RATS have gone against their own rules. We're asking for "Just a stinkin solitary vote" says Orin Hatch

I, too, salute Seantor Hatch. He cares so much about fairness and integrity in the nominating process. GIVE THE RATS HELL, SEANTOR HATCH!

Not on this one. This is serious, it's about the way they do business in committee, and any of them who are thinking more than one step ahead realize that if they can do it to Strom, they can do it to them the next time, or three or four times down the road -- and regardless of party affiliation.

With all due respect to Strom there should be age limits on Senators, watching Byrd now proves that point.
