Over 3500 Voted Twice in 2000 Pres. Election (316,000 people are registered to vote in 2 places)

The 2000 presidential election wasn't as close as everyone thought ... at least according to a new study that says as many as 316,000 people nationwide are registered to vote in two different places, and 14,486 New Yorkers were also registered to vote in Florida in 2000.

The Republican National Committee, while updating its database of over 165 million voters for changes of address (a process which is estimated to identify around 65 percent of double-voters), found that as many as 1 percent of those who were double-registered voted twice - 709 of them in Florida.

In New York, according to an investigation by the New York Post, of its 415 double voters, over 400 were from Manhattan, where almost 70 percent of voters are registered Democrat.

So, according to the numbers:

if there were actually 30 percent more (100,000) people double registered,
and there were over 200 more people who double voted in Florida,
and if 70 percent of the probable 930 who double voted in Florida were Democrat,
... well, legally, it wouldn't seem that Al Gore was close after all, would it?

Too bad it wasn't illegal to vote twice or these people could be prosecuted for fraud and violating federal election laws.

( Oh, it is illegal? Oh, they won't be prosecuted. Oh, no wonder they do this )

The voter amendment:

In order to insure that the elections of the United States are fair, all elections within the United States and holdings there of, shall require all voters to prove their identity, citizenship and eligibility to vote.

Each eligible voter must register with the Secretary of State of their single state or territory of residence no less than 30 days prior to an election

Such registration shall require proof of identity and citizenship which shall at a minimum include a state or federal issued photo identification, proof of citizenship and proof of residency.

Such registration shall be valid for a limited time of 24 months from the time of initial registration.

Such registration shall be the ONLY means of qualifying to vote during an election.

The voter registration rolls of each state shall be reviewed each month to purge expired and non-eligible registrations.

This report only serves to prove what I already wrote in my editorial from September 20, 2002, when I charged that many college students and elderly citizens were voting twice.

If you could eliminate fraud from the voting process, most of the country would have been red for President Bush.

If only 3,500 people actually voted twice nationwide, that's not that big. It's the POTENTIAL of the 316,000 people voting twice that is the problem. Registrars need to do a better job at purging their rolls.

In 1994 I worked on a campaign in California where I identified over 700 people registered two OR MORE times in one district. In 1996 I did research on a campaign where hundreds of people were registered twice and identified 16 people who actually VOTED twice. In that race, the Democrat won by 82 votes, and I only did a cursory examination of the voter rolls. The Democrats STOLE that race.

Fingerprint reading off a touchscreen is NOT possible.

As far as I am concerned, being possible or not doesn't matter. If we can spread this rumor, we might be able to stop a few folks who shouldn't be allowed to vote anyway.

Wouldn't it be great to have the rats afraid that if they vote illegally that they will be caught?

Something I have not ever seen mentioned: In a neighboring county (Richland Co., SC) they used electronic voting for the first time in 2000. There were many stories circulating that at some polling places it was easy to simply get back into line and vote again if you were so inclined.
(btw, no problems in my county-Lexington- where we used the infamous punch cards)

I e-mail this info in response to the Dem. liars. Feel free. It's accurate.
For the record:

The MEMO to disqualify military ballots
The Dimples Prove Fraud
Unstatesmanlike Conduct, Human Events, good summary of Gore/recount/last minute court decision.
How the Gore Campaign Came Back for the Dead.
How Democrats Steal Elections
Gore, Chris Sautter-"A Recount Primer"
Knock and Drag: Ryan Lizza reveals how Dems. got out the black vote
Trial Lawyers try to litigate their man into the White House
John Lott's Florida Election Study: Black Republicans, NOT Democrats disenfranchised by Dems.

Oh, and those "hick" counties, the "red" counties in Florida with fewer than 10,000 voters....all but one in 22 voted for BUSH and they are ALL Democrat majority counties with Dem. election personnel..and ALL recounted (as did EVERY county in Florida (just not 2 or 3 times 'til ballots could be manipulated for Gore)- and the HONEST Democrats in the small Florida counties showed mostly single digit changes in the recounts, insignificant. These same Democrats helped elect a Republican Florida Governor, a Republican majority state legislature, and chose Bush over Clinton in '92. As one friend said, "my Democrat neighbors are southern Democrats with family values and don't trust Gore. "
Did you hear of a Republican* voting twice? Republican* felons voting in large blocks? Republican* illegal immigrants? Republicans* in nursing homes and hospitals "helping" incompetent patients vote? Republicans* adding non-resident names to the voting rosters at the polling locations? Republicans* poking holes in ballots/ eating chads? Writing books about recounts and how to win elections by manipulating ballots? Did Republicans* have a GOTV center set up in a Palm Beach law office, with "ballot protest" forms and a telecom company set up in advance, as well as a team of lawyers ready to put the "recount' campaign in place? Did a Republican* lawyer lie about an Illinois "dimple decision" to the national press and in court? Did Republicans* go into the inner cities and tell the voters that George W. Bush would send them back to slavery? Did a Republican* Florida Supreme Court ignore existing state law to allow carefully selected Republican* counties recounts, and then change the laws as it was necessary to help Republicans*? Did a Republican* send a memo to every one of 67 counties - not based on Florida law - telling poll workers how to disqualify military ballots? Did Republicans* misdirect military mail? Make it exceedingly difficult for military overseas to vote? Did the Republican* press cover up the massive Dem. dirty tricks? Is the Republican* press still lying?

Did Republicans lie, cheat and behave unethically during election 2000? No.

* Democrat(s)
