well, I'll just repeat what I said yesterday: I'm just trying to guess moves in a game which has no rules.
Some way/somehow, this person has mentioned to do his deeds without being caught....even if he is 'hiding in plain sight'. I'm trying to think like a killer when I'm not one....I'm trying to think what a cold-blooded killer needs to cover his a$$....and I guess I find comfort that most of us *can't* think like a killer.
sorry.....I'm rambling and brainstorming....we live near the area and I'm wondering how long we can go on living like this. My girls are in school which is on Day 3 of modified lockdown....and they just want to be able to go out for recess someday. (if and when they catch this idiot, I'm all for letting the parents and kids take a whack at him!)

I wasn't trying to dog your ideas. We're all speculating and it basically all has the same value. I'd be interested to see those areas though. You'd think it shouldn't be too hard for the cops to narrow down his shooting positions- I mean the weapon has a finite range and anything in a circle that you
couldn't see from the victims spot could be ruled out.
I would bet he has cased out his shooting positions many times to see what could be seen from them and how to easily get into and out of them. If they can narrow down where they think he shot from, they should be able to start asking locals if they've seen anybody coming to those spots with maybe binos or a spotting scope lately or doing anything odd like laying on the ground... I hope they catch this scoundrel.

ZinGirl, stay well and stay safe. The line forms to the left for parents of schoolchildren in the area to take a whack at this sniper when he's caught. You can be first in line.

I'm so sorry you sre going through this and my prayers ae with you. My sister has a daughter in high school in Rockville. She said pick up time was unreal with police cars circling in the parking lot and a helicopter flying up above.
