According to journalism standards it's not proper to report on race (but it's ok to identify conservatives)

(but it's ok to identify conservatives)...and whites when they're killers...

"Somewhere deep inside of the citizens of this
liberal hell of a hole, there are REAL Americans."
Boy, can I relate to your post. Many of us are forced to live under oppressive socialist 'regimes' in our individual states. But the rest of the world just doesn't know how many good, honest, real Americans are at the heart of so many states with even the most liberal of reputations.

"Jeeze I feel like I am watching a serial killer movie"This thread is more like a half dozen different serial killer movies at one time.

We could nickname this the "GOOD GRIEF RACKET". May, do they ever take people to the cleaners. That, combined with the EXPLOSION of commercials for anti-depressants on nationwide American TV, you would think most Americans are one step shy of suicide.
Why none of this crap back in the 1950s, 60s, or even 70s? Seems people were a lot more adjusted and a lot less crybaby back then. America has changed.

We hardly watched TV back then and NEWS wasn't a big part of it.
It really kept our kids "innocent".

WUSA, Channel 9 in DC, released a report signed by the news director that Mike Buchannan was the reporter who broke the story. Mike is the fire, storm, accident, and disaster reporter and very good at his craft. He called the Montgomery County police and announced (as in All The President's Men style) we are going with the tarot card story, unless you can convince us not to.
After no response, it hit the news.
The Washington Post had two independent sources and called the Police to tell them it was going to press unless they made an successful argument.
Then the news breaks and we get the hystreonics from the Moose. We've seen a couple of days of this from him. Does he have a history of doing this?

The picture of the death card that they show on FNC is of a knight on a horse. crusader? There are several verions of tarot cards. I would like to know if this knight on the horse is the one they actually have.

Good point, though I have to believe the LEOs there have their guard up too. And if the prep kills in Baltimore or Philly he still has to find his way back home without being pulled over and searched. This of course assumes that if the perp does kill in those cities there will be random searches of cars traveling to the DC area. The perp may not go back home.... could even have a place in another town already.

Jeez. These liberal media nuts - shall we just say they work for the nutworks - have to blame everything on conservatives.

It occured to me that the police came out pretty strongly with police presence at schools for Monday, when I hadn't heard much about that after the Wednesday, Thursday, shootings last week. So do you think that this nut had possibly left a "calling card" at other scenes and since he had already targeted men and women, they were afraid that a child would be the next target? They kept saying the schools were safe, all weekend long.... this may be why the perp went to a school.
To: KsSunflower
That may be why Chief Moose and others are wearing bulletproof vests. You can see the outline under their clothing.

This thread is more like a half dozen different serial killer movies at one time. For all we know the shooter is reading this thread right now, and getting off on it. This may be exactly the kind of attention they crave.

"Dear Mr. Policeman, I am god".
It seems to me that the above pharse is sarcastic. It is a taunt aimed at the police/government officials. The odd phrasing of this statement only makes sense if it is sarcasm. If I was to say to a police officer who stopped me for a traffic infraction "Well Mr. Policeman I don't think the light was red". What would be the normal reaction of a police officer. It would tick him off. He would think I was being sarcastic and belittling him. I think the killer is being sarcastic and belittling the police. I do not believe that the killer thinks that he is god or even thinks he is divinely inspired. He is just being a smart mouth. He probably used the death card because he thought it looked cool.
I am leaning to a domestic nut/nuts rather than terrorists now. However, I am not convinced that the killer did not plant the card and the shell casing as a red herring. Planting a card and sending the police in circles would probably amuse a terrorist as well.
The other interesting bit to come out is the possible first shooting on the 14th of September. This could be a proof of concept shooting. The killer was probably disappointed that his act was not more widely recognized. He spent a few weeks planning his next spree killing. Now that he has got everyones attention he can slow down his pace again. I still think he will shoot again before the week is out.

we are going with the tarot card story which is obviously so silly that it may be planted to divert. or encourage a claim of responsibility.

At one of this afternoon's press conferences, a reporter asked Moose to explain how the Tarot card disclosure damaged the investigation. (the reporter said nicely, I hope the question doesn't get you upset)
Moose's answer was incoherent, unintelligible, and mispronounced.

I don't know. Maybe we ought to lighten up a bit on that police chief. And practice the Golden Rule. For sure, which one of us Freepers, really in all honesty, would want to be in his position right now, or be under the stress he is. None of us. That guy probably has not had sleep in nearly one week. I know I might get a little testy under such duress.

Uh...this thread is convoluted enough without the posts about the Airbus incident, which isn't related to the Maryland sniper case.
