OK folks, I heard the ante is $250,000 now to find the killer. Here's a link to satelite photo's of the area. I'm sure there's alot of folks who've got the time (and equipment) to find the best views, and find out where the shooter was.

This tarot card evidence may be a ruse by authorities to smoke the shooter out. THey do things like that all the time in the movies~~

The church could be a definite possibility, he missed his shot and the large window would be pretty easy but there is a line of trees halfway across the parking lot obscurring the view from the church, but I don't see how this guy would get on and off the Giant roof without being seen and make it up to Leisure World for the next shot 25 minutes later.

My theory on the Shoppers shooting, the Amoco cabbie and the Leisure World victim is the shooter wasn't more than 100 yards out, shooting straight down an "alley". In the cabbie's case, he was standing between his car and the gas pump and was hit in the chest. The vehicles at the pump are pointed at the Giant or the front of the gas station building. The Leisure World victim was sitting and the bullet passed through her head and through the window behind her suggesting straight on shot maybe? And the Shopper's victim was walking away from the store down a row of cars and there isn't more than 150 yards until the line of sight is obscurred by other buildings. All relatively easy for an expert marksman. Could he be something less?

Yes, that is the location and the fire station is on the corner. I haven't seen anything mentioned about the firemen hearing anything.

What would be a great help for some enterprising Freeper is to go to the victims location with a digital camera and tactfully get some pics looking out from where they were standing or sitting.

I don't see how this guy would get on and off the Giant roof without being seen

There's a very narrow drive behind the Giant, and a white truck parked there in the sat photo. I believe the grade goes up to the church property and for that reason, there may be a retaining wall as well. Anyway, I think there is a ladder that goes up to the roof behind Giant there.

I can't believe he'd take the time to climb on the roof either, but I saw on the news they were checking it out today.

PS - Leisure world is only 5-10 minutes away. But you probably know that.

The victims were random... I doubt he knew any of the people he killed. The card's meaning 'The Death Skeleton' comes to all" means no one is out of his reach or that he will not spare anyone no matter who they may be. Poor, Rich, Young, Old, A Father, A Mother, A Child... he will kill who he wants as he feels he is God.

BTW Michael (the craft store where the first shooting took place and the second to last shooting, may have a meaning... Michael is a hebrew name that means Who is like God or God Like. Maybe he trying to send a message by killing people near certain named stores or areas.

I watched Dateline tonight. They featured the FBI profiler Clint Van Zandt, who's provided the company line on cases like Chandra Levy, JonBenet and O.J. Simpson.

Van Zandt was interviewed over the past few days and offered the standard remarks about some disgruntled killer/killers, etc.

But after the child was shot yesterday, his tone seemed to change. His voice lowered and he said, "This is the act of a terrorist. He means to terrorize us."

I got the distinct impression old Clint was tired of the charade and needed to vent, much like poor Moose, whose tears were more telling than anyone's cover story.

The longer the dems stall the vote, the more brazen the ME cells become.

Has anyone speculated that all the shootings may have been near an intersection with a stop light?

The shooter is secreted inside the back of the truck being driven by an accomplice. When the truck is stopped at a red light, the shooter takes aim and shoots at random.

Before anyone knows anything is wrong, the light changes and the truck casually pulls ahead with the flow of traffic.

After reading your post and another on today's Maryland Sniper thread, I thought you might find this interesting:

Moose was our police chief in Portland, OR, where he was selected because he was black and a democrat. He was often in the news for his racist, sexist and homophobic behavior. Several women were paid off by the city because his favorite form of address to white women was "honky bitch." He also left behind a million dollar law suit by a gay police captain. His behavior was known before being made chief but in this PC city being black was more important.

Is Moose the black police chief on TV? WOW when I saw him I wondered if they would ever find the killer...he seemed confused over the events and he seemd to like to fill up the face time with words without substance.

LOL!!! Of course it's taxed!! And so are 'gifts' for that matter. To my knowledge, the only money you can recieve tax free is punitive damages from a lawsuit, and life insurance settlements. If your rich uncle decides he really likes you and wants to give you a new Mercedes for Christmas, then you better believe you're going to be paying the tax on it as if it were income. Last summer I won a pretty sizeable amount at a dog track in FL. I didn't even get out of that place without first turning over the tax portion directly to the IRS on the spot. Silly citizen, do you really think Dasshole and Gimphardt are going to let you out of a windfall tax free???

Gambling winnings are taxed (woo and yay to your puupydog prize) but I was wondering if a reward was viewed as earned income.

FWIW...
DH is a lawyer. His clients pay no tax on settlements and judgements won in personal injury tort claims... I myself was clobbered in an auto accident, and the settlement of the personal injury suit I filed was not taxable. Good thing, because most of it went to pay my enormous medical bills.

Gifts aren't taxed under some circumstances....
My inlaws have given DH and me cash gifts over the years, no tax applied. If they gave me a Mercedes (I wish) I would not have to pay tax on it. They would have to pay gift tax for its value over the yearly gift limit ($20,000). But I would only have to pay the "you don't really own your car" personal property tax. No income tax would be due the IRS.

No, the picture shows five separate roof tops stepping down to the one large roof top of the main shopping center structure. The post office is around the third or fourth rooftop facing out into the parking lot. Hope that's clear and helps at all.
