Genesis 16:11-12
The angel of the LORD also said to her:

"You are now with child and you will have a son.  You shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard of your misery. 

"He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers."

I prefer the translation language in my bible:

"He will be a wild ass of a man;"

Also, Genesis 17:20-21

"As for Ishmael, I have heard you; I will surely bless him, I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of 12 rulers, and I will make him a great nation. But my covenant I will establish with Issac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year.

Sounds good, until you realize that the present day Muslims/Arabs aren't related to Ishmael at all. Ishmael was co-opted in a bit of historical fraud by Muhammad to give legitimacy to his claim of having descended from Abraham. He was trying to appropriate to himself some of the mojo of the dominant religion of the time in the Arabian peninsula which was Judaism.
