Bugs Bunny was definitely gay.
Always dressing in drag, kissing Elmer Fudd or Yosemite Sam on the lips, and prancing around in that little effem-busy-body way.
It's been a wonderful evolution ... we've gone from cartoons about Thor, son of Odin and the God of Thunder, to the cartoon exploits of a gay kitchen sponge.
This reminds me of a statement by Jean Shepherd.. and I am paraphrasing a bit. THe context was how there were no male lolita's etc, you were a man or you weren't, the story was about him first being invited along with dad to go fishing... was something along the lines "you either grew up and became a man, or didn't and were a faggot".

Nah, Bugs had the head-swarming stars and a rapidly expanding heart would explode from his chest when he'd see a female of any size, age or species. He was an operator, some of his pickup lines are classic.
I don't agree. Never watched SpongePants SquareBob or whatever, and never will. Looks too gay. Simpsons is where it's at, dude... And King of the Hill.

My wife's best friend is gay, and he is writing a children's book about two gay men. He says it's about teaching tolerance, diversity, blah blah blah.....you know the mantra.
Not to go off on a rant here, but I think that it's about forcing acceptance of a lifestyle on the general population. Who you have sex with is a behavior, nothing more and nothing less. To teach kids that self destructive behavior is OK is irresponsible self-justification.
Furthermore, this gay friend recently came 'out' to his mother (wonder why he waited until his Dad passed away, but that's another story). The news devastated the poor woman. The wife and I recently visited her and you can see that she's still coming to terms with the news a year later.
The 'tolerance and diversity' preachers don't talk about that side of the equasion. Guess that they figure it's someone else's problem.

Mr. Rogers is, was, and will always be skin-creepingly gay.
The guys writing the Warner cartoons were competing against, and satirizing, the Disney gulag. They were the rebels, they gave their characters piss and vinegar. Daffy Duck cracked a little wiser than did Donald.
There's a lot of clever nuance throughout that show ... there will be a scene in front of the town library which has a sign outside saying "We have books about TV".
