Are there any show characters whose species operates in the top 90% of the coral reef food chain? The plankton character has legitimate confidence and security issues.

Are you kidding? Do you know how systematic, meticulously planned and structured an animation series mandates? Yikes. Every Simpson's episode lists about 6 producers, that's what it takes. Animation is labor intensive.

Sure, in terms of the actual production, I agree - there's an army of Korean animators chained to drafting tables somewhere, and a bunch of guys with whips to keep them moving, but I'm thinking more of the creative end. The concept, the story, the writing, et cetera....

Actually, the driving instructor is a pufferfish, not just a spinster. Gays seem to see "gayness" everywhere, as do the Homophobes. Birds of a feather, I s'pose.

That industry intrigues me, the cartoon is obviously a profitable product for the networks and producers. They're everywhere

Thousands of method actors emote in unemployment, and skilled voice talent work every day in six-figure anonymity. With a zit or bad hair on board.

I just laugh at the conceptual pitches that development/programming buyers must endure:. "What it is, it's a pigeon ... a heroic, race and ethnic neutral, cartoon pigeon rap poet. He's non-threatening and street smart, a hip-hop urban survivor with a pit bull pal ..." "OK, there's this sponge named Bob ..."

I think any goober on this thread
who's afraid of gays "taking over" their favorite
characters has a serious screw loose

The funny thing is that behaviour is so gay!  ;)

My suitably sheltered 11-year old daughter
called out Sponge Bob's orientation

Evidently she is not suitably sheltered enough!  LOL

And I thought I was cool watching the Simpsons.

It is a problem, isn't it?  Having the house empty
of  kids means usually missing out on the school
house diseases du jour, but what goes on on Nickolodeon
is likely to escape us.

Wow, I did not know that cartoons had the capacity for this much evil.

Heh, if they didn't the kids wouldn't watch 'em.  My kids, anyway.

Kooky is okay.  Now, kinky...

So SpongeBob may be gay? At least he's not a Communist.

Heh. To some folks, gay is worse.

Makes you wonder if the guy who wrote this might be a little
fruity.

Well, when you look at the article and discover
his name is Sally, one would say "fruity, indeed."
Of course, one would be imbecilic, but this is
one of those threads.

Homophobe is a fraudulent concept ... nobody is fearful of men and women who express their sexuality with their own gender. It's not like a primal fear of heights, snakes or water. That's real phobiae, that's irrational fear. Nobody fears gays and lesbians that way. Finding a rat-snake coiled up in your Costa Rican timeshare cupboard is scary, stumbling on two women kissing or two guys holding hands is just uncomfortable.

Many decry that lifestyle for biblical, spiritual and societal reasons. Almost all of us don't want to know about someone elses sex life. When the martini-addled matron introduces her companion as "my lover Adam", everybody in the proximity cringes. Too much info.

Same with gays. We don't want to celebrate their gig, pay tribute to their agendas or have their sexual mores presented to captive kids in our schools. Don't march in a parade if you want us to believe gayness is a immutable, inborn personal trait. Why celebrate being brown eyed or male or caucasian?

Gay activists piss me off. They'll destroy anything and anyone to satisfy their political needs. They spit at us while they're picking our pockets. Insult on top of injury breeds resentment and backlash from others. I guess backlash and government monetary redress and protection is what the provocation, victimization and identity entitlement Marxist RAT gameplan is all about.

It's not a "phobia", that denotes a weakness or flaw in the observer. It's revulsion, contempt and annoyance.

God bless the Boy Scouts of America, they stood up to the bullies and said "Stick it." I threw a $50 check in the mail to them, even though they ejected me because I didn't recognize the legitimacy of any merit badge that required outdoor activity.
