Will Congressman McDermott or McKinney try to politicize this?
To: Braak
Why has no one considered the possibility that this is an act of Arab-backed terrorism?
To: 1bigdictator
Because that might force some of the sheeple to think..and the libs couldn't have that.

I am starting to wonder if the shootings are terrorists. The only description of the perps are two men in a van. Why would two men conspire to kill randomly? It sounds like terror to me.

I almost hate to point out that several gang related shootings occur almost weekly in DC and Maryland area. Why are we making such a big deal out of this now? I know it's always bad when folks get shot, but isn't this the norm in this part of town? Hmmm.....

Will Congressman McDermott or McKinney try to politicize this? Probably not, but Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, running for Gov. of MD has already.

They probably don't realize the demographics of the area.
This is only 10 miles from Laurel, where some of the 9/11 highjackers stayed just prior to carrying out their mission.
The Laurel area is full of crazy fundamentalists. There are always people walking around in full fundie dress, with the women having scarves over their faces and the men in long flowing robes. There is a mix of Arab and Persian immigrant Muslims and African American converts, who apparently follow the leadership of the Arabs. There is also one cleric living in an apartment on the edge of Laurel who has confirmed links with Bin Laden (I found him once but decided not to harass him because there were kids playing in a nearby playground).

This is the area of town with all the Muslim fundamentalists in it. I'm frankly worried about Muslim converts within the predominantly black DC area gangs. Mixing fire with fire...

Actually, these shooting spree is anomolous, even for a high crime area. Overall crime in D.C. is down. Moreover, most of it is black on black and related to drugs, money or some other typical motivation.
Contrast that with how these shootings seem completely random in that they don't target a specific ethnic group, nor do they seem connected to any other crime (i.e. robbery). Have any Muslims been victims of this "random" spree?

Do you live in a cave? FNC news-talkers have suggested this over-and-over.
Satisfied?

No, I'm not satisfied. Every major network has avoided making this connection, save Fox (if what you say is accurate), the implication being it would not be P.C. to investigate the possibility.

The vast majority of murders involved an assailant known to the victim--a relative, neighbor, drug dealer, etc., and the perp is arrested relatively soon after the crime, or is known to law enforcement soon after the crime. These are murders and attempted murders where the perp is unknown to the victim, done sniper style, over a period of time. In this case, the first took place last Wednesday and continued until Friday and have resumed (probably) today.

I read that the school had police on site. If this keeps up, the public might get the idea that the government can't really protect them. People might demand the right to wear bullet-proof vests.
The government won't let them do it, though. They want to right to shoot and kill the bad guys, and if the bad guys could buy the vests, well they just let that happen.
To: savedbygrace
Might get that idea? When has our government ever been able to protect the citizens of this country? I guess the people today are either stupid or just brain washed but they need to remember this is a government by and for the people which means it's our duty to protect ourselves and our form of government.

Did a quick search over the weekend about sniper killlings in the Middle East region (Jerusalem, etc). Just a quick glance over the news reports showed that the sniper and/or snipers were positioned in buildings, as well as, in cars. Could the sniper(s) be positioned in buildings? Anyway, I believe it is a middle-eastern terror cell, with multiple snipers participating. One driver, one shooter.
