Good morning, Mud. Thank you for putting the idea there, and carlo for gathering the thoughts and getting Angelique's collage of photos to me, and christie, for sending BlueBoy's photo.

Hi, Billie, and good morning all Freepers.
Just woke up, wasn't quite prepared to have my heart chords plucked in such a beautiful way, like strings on a harp...good grief...the tribute to dear Angelique is beautiful and moving.
Thank you.
She's still Freeping up in heaven, I expect...never far away. Good modem connections up in that cyber-cafe in the sky...good desserts, too.

Now you're going to make me cry with that. I think Angelique is sitting up there smiling though.

Here's her FR page:
Angelique.
You can see her interests and there are a few threads where you can see her busting chops in a very ladylike way when people were attacking her beloved France. She always wanted to point out the great French contibutions to the American Revolutionary War and how independance would have been far more difficult without France's aid. And she was right.

I didn't know what Angelique looked like but I looked for the most beautiful angel picture I could find last night and wouldn't you know she looked just like her.

What a hoot is right Billie! Things are even better today dear! :-)
To: xJones; LadyX
Morning, Mz Jones. She was feisty all right. If I remember correctly, I think that LadyX and I were mildly flamed by Angelique on our first encounter with her! At least I got the impression at the time - I later realized it was just her 'way'. :)

"She's still Freeping up in heaven, I expect...never far away. Good modem connections up in that cyber-cafe in the sky..." I pretty much believe the same thing...fighting fer Liberty and Justice transcends this World...MUD

How beautiful Billie, what a wonderful tribute to a dear girl. It really makes me sad but proud to see the words that you and her other her friends have offered. I will never forget her, because so many things still remind me of her gifts...thanks to all of you in keeping her alive in our hearts. Hugs to everyone..Carlo

Mornin' Billie. What a wonderful tribute to a fine lady.
Reading Susan's posts over the years has been a delight.
Having gone camping at Pinecrest, I can understand her wishes. May God Bless and Comfort her family.

Thank you - appreciate the link, which I forgot! I should have linked her page - a detail I usually remember.

This is a great thread, and brings back Angelique so well. I remember her mostly from her epic battles with MadIvan. It was all in fun as she championed France and Ivan battled for St. George and England. It cracked me up as she would bring in Henry VIII, the burning by the English of Joan of Arc, and everything else "perfidious Albion" ever did. She was both feisty and funny. :) She never got away with it though. However I will say this: she may have been a credit to France, but she was an even greater credit to America.
Regards, Ivan

Mornin' Dave!
I have never been to Pinecrest that I can recall anyway! Thanks for the picture. I have been to Yosemite a zillion times, and the tribute says it is above it. Is it up the pass or where? Looks beautiful, and what a wonderful place to go to rest.
To: Aquamarine; yall
Thanks - it's great to be back home. ;-)
