Look, if I'm close to a hospital, I am NOT waiting for a damn helicopter or an ambulance. Stomach wounds are DEADLY.
A few years ago there were serious problems with the helicopter fleet. They kept crashing and so they were grounded. I don't know if this is still the case, tho.
